My warden is still in the twenties and still only have 3 icon gambit and only have one mastery, but I found out I could kill mobs (on level or one level above) REALLY FAST now. On recklessness, opening a fight with [12]3 [13] [11] will drop the enemy in maybe 8 seconds.
I wonder has warden become the fastest killer compared to the other classes? I haven't tried other classes much.
everyone can kill fast in their 20's. Wardens are far from the fastest killers. A hunter or rk can kill with 3 skills also .. but their skills only take 3-4 seconds not 8. When you get to the higher levels youll notice wile you will be able to kill almost anything...it wont be fast. If you gear and trait dps you can pull off some rather impressive numbers. With our survivability skills we are probably if geared right the hardest hitting class that is hard to kill. Even in dps gear and traited dps...youll have over 8k moral with out trying. And we have never surrender and DC which youll get later. And a shield to block and gambits for bpe and fairly strong self heals... I have not collected the gear with my warden for dps i mostly tank. But at 75 its very doable for any class to get their primary trait over 1800. And being a warden no mater if you trait dps or tank.. you still get 5 moral for each vitality. So your going to have high moral even with dps gear with only a modest vit pool. What i want to know...is who out there has geared for all dps and how are their numbers? Can a warden with say 1800 might and 1000 agi dps somewhere around 1600/second? more?
Change your point of view and change the way you perceive everything.
I think 1200 dps/second is about what reck wardens are achieving in real-world parses
We're pretty much right in between Guardian and Champion in the Tank-DPS spectrum...Guardians can mitigate more (but not a whole lot), but dont hit as hard. Champs do more damage (but not a whole lot), but lack our self-heals and blocking. Plus, we have a lot more flexibility to slide more towards one way or the other, while Guards and Champs are much less flexible.
Traited and geared I have about 7.8k morale, 24.8k physical mastery (103.7% bonus in stance), and yep 1200 is about it if I don't have to run around. It's also sustainable forever thanks to Dark before Dawn.
I've seen wardens with slightly higher physical mastery, and I usually just repeat spear bleeds / WT / DBD even though bleeds last long enough to have the spear and fist lines both up at the same time, so I'm sure there's room for improvement.
As for how fast we kill, as they said we're not the fastest. About a million times faster than when traited and geared for tanking, but we still do less than a good hunter or champ, which should be expected.
When the right gear and traits are in place, Wardens can kill quite fast. However, a well geared and traited Champion/Hunter/Burglar/Minstrel/Rune Keeper can out dps us easily.
Wardens can also raise the DPS of the whole group thanks to damage buffs and reduced threat generation. The sheer numbers on your own DPSmeter tell only a small part of the trueth.
Wardens can be a nice melange of DPS and supporter for other damage dealers.

I was in a dragon run yesterday with 4 wardens (might have been 3 in DPS and 1 up top, I don't recall). The physical mastery buffs don't stack of course but as long as we didn't always hit Conviction at the same time it basically meant around 10% damage buff on the paws group more than half of the time. It was an insanely fast run.
