Alright, so I logged on today on my Rune-Keeper and I was in Galtrev Auction House, then I went to Tal Methedras to do some quests there, but when I opened my Map up by pressing M it showed that I was still in the Auction House, so I logged out and logged back in to see if that would help. But when I opened my map all it would show was "Filter Map Notes" and "Show Map" on the top and the quest color box thing at the bottom, but it was blank. That's all it would show. The main map wouldn't show, it just showed my game as if I didn't open the map. I've logged in and out several times, nobody in my kinship or various friends were having this issues. I reported it as a bug. It might be my computer, but everything else seems to be working fine, so I am not sure. I tried Googling and it mentioned something about Java, so I reinstalled Java, updated it and still the problem remained. I'm just wondering if anyone had ever experienced this before if it's something that can be fixed? It just started today. Yesterday the map was working fine. My mini map still works though. Any advice or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks for reading.
try rebooting your pc if youve not already dont so.
if you still experience the same problem after a reboot and there are no other problems with lotro most likely your install has become corrupted, try running a repair by using the lotro installer and selecting repair insted of uninstall, if lotro does not patch after running a repair, and it shoulf youll youll need to uninstll lotro and reinstall
It's not giving me a "repair" option...which sucks, cause I don't really wanna go through the whole reinstalling process, it takes forever...but looks like that's what I'll have to do. Thanks again.

There have been reports that the map function is broken in Tal Methedras due to a bug in the LOTRO software. Try returning to another area like Galtrev, Thorin's Halls and see if the problem goes away.

Same exact thing happened to me last night. Tried it this morning on different computer with same problem. Reported it to Turbine but haven't heard anything back.
