I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, but I was thinking yesterday, and I thought it might be nice to have a kinship vault that is accessible from the bankers where you access your personal vault, shared storage, and wardrobe. This would make sharing items across the kin much easier. Right now, I either have to mail the items I want to donate to the kin leader, or I have to go to the kinship house, which only has three chests (at least my kinship's house does). This way, if you wanted to donate anything to the kin, you simply put it into the kin's storage vault, and if there was anything you needed, you simply take it out. This would be accessible from any banking NPC. The amount of space could be dependent on the kin rank (I think that is what it is called. How old/big the kin is), and/or on how much gold the kin spends on buying space. I don't think this would be too difficult to implement in code, but I could be wrong. Any thoughts?

Your idea has merit. However, I foresee all manner of complexities from the programming end. It is one thing to manage shared storage across one subscription (account). It is another thing entirely to share storage across multiple characters (but not multiple accounts, as not all characters on one account are necessarily in the same kinship nor in any kinship). Furthermore, I suspect were such a feature implemented, it would have to include the ability to apply the same access permissions we can currently apply to housing chests. That would add an entirely new layer of complexity to shared storage.
Keep in mind that -- although it is not a perfect solution -- we do now have the ability to post items in the Auction House for sale to the kinship only. There are transaction fees involved. These fees are minor in some cases, but can be substantial for high-value items such as crafting resources. We are limited to 30 listings total in the Auction House. And those listings expire after two days. Fees are forfeit.

One thought. Theft.
People don't always just take what they need, sometimes they clear chests out to make a quick profit, and that's why kins like mine have officer-only access to kinchests. It's the only safe way to ensure that kin members get what they need but not at the expense of others that may need help.
Cynical viewpoint I know, but sadly it comes from the experience of friends. As for putting stuff into kinchest, easy way is there's one designated person or all officers can do that job.
Which is why, as noted in the other thread, you don't do away with kin house chests. This should be proposed as another option for kin storage, not a replacement.
For some kinships the option would not be healthy. For the kinship I am in, where we all know each other in RL, we'd love a vault. If someone cleans us out, it's a pretty short list of phone numbers to find the guilty party.
