Thread: Great River crit not happening

I have made 4 pieces of the newer GR Armour that critted, since then it has failed 4 times in a row using: Master Westfold Metalsmith Journal, Scroll of Supreme Metalworking Lore and an Ancient Steel smithing hammer. Should be 61% crit rate with all this accounted for yet 4 failures in a row, turbine get your team back on code and get this fixed!!!

Remember - each new try the chance is 61%. That doesn't mean that at least the third try has to be a crit. Every time the chance is exactly the same of 61%. Maybe use a lucky horseshoe too - thats what I am doing … hehe.

I think 4 tries with 61% means there's about 2,5% chance of not getting a critt result.
This is low, but not unreasonable so.
You write yourself you have made 4 pieces that DID crit.
How many tries did that take?

Turbine can't fix this, cause it simply isn't broken.


and I think all the Great River items can be crafted using the Guild Recipe for the 100% crit result.

Correct. And you don't even have to have set foot in the GR area to get the Guild recipes.
