Re: Tuesday is a good day for Tea at the Coffee House
I could use a mental health day... Spend the whole day cooking, then come home and splurge time on lotro...
The best thing for your technology problem is to turn off everything, it may make you nervous about being out-of-reach, but it is wonderful to know no one can get to you. Maybe that's just and introvert thing.

Re: Tuesday is a good day for Tea at the Coffee House
morning Landrovalrim,
I had the roleplay written, I really did. Gombur was going to come into the coffee house gloating after the hawks beat Phoenix. After all, his arch nemesis, the Vancouver Canucks, with the loathsome Sedin brothers, had been defeated. The winner of the President's trophy, the best team in Hockey, ousted by an 8th seeded team in 5 games!!!!! Heh Heh Heh.......
Unfortunately, the Hawks got gobsmacked by the Coyotes (which is a form of warg, I believe) and also lost in the first round. Its a horrible time for Dwarven Hockey Roleplay (tm)
So now all that is left for our two veteran team Captains are long nights at the bar in the coffee house, perhaps sipping a mulled ale or six, and talking about the Glory Days of Trebuchets and Turtle Defenses!
Oh, Next week is my last week at the store I have worked at for almost 4 years. I dont even remember if I said anything, and I dont think I did because last week was my long work week and I didnt post. Forgive me if I am repeating myself but I was asked to step down. My health has deteriorated over time since I have been here, and the powers that be dont think I can handle the store anymore. Truly, they are right. I just cant take that kind of pounding, and I didnt think the store would become as busy as it has, otherwise I would have asked to leave a long time ago.
So what does this mean? Well, I will be a floating pharmacist between two districts. I will be doing a lot of driving, but its country driving, not Chicago driving. If you want to google an illinois map, look up springfield, then look up beardstown and pittsville. those are two of the places where i will be driving to. They guarantee 56 hours per pay period (right now I work 80) and I need about 65 to break even, given I am paying rent here and a mortgage in Chicago. But this next period they have me scheduled for 71, and NO Weekends unless I am covering a vacation. And I also get 55cents per mile, so hopefully I can make it another 3 years until I retire.
Anyway, time to stop rambling. Have a good day all.

Best of luck to you Doc, I hope you transition well. At least traffic shouldn't be too much of a hassle down there (Sangamon County being what it is).
Anyway, my new hobbit found a Lossoth mount in an envelope last night. He's never heard of the Lossoth or Forochel and is understandably perplexed about how they managed to fit a horse into an envelope, but I'll take it!!!

Yeah. I was going to come in a post my condolences to you and the Canuck fans of the CH, but... My team isn't probably going to last through tonight. I guess my only hope is that the Greatest Goaltender (bar Gombur) to ever strap on the pads can return to form and help carry the team to another Stanley Cup. Ah well... here's to Glory Days of Ol' *raises mug*

Hey all!!
From me... I haven't been in game in a month or so... I am in the middle of moving. My family is all put gone to CA and i'm going to be settling in to the new place this week (and the following weeks). yesterday was the transition day (last night was the first night in the new house). I have been CRAZY busy between work, 7 days worth of jury duty (FASCINATING case relating to Charles Cullen... if you don't remember who that is, google should help you...), plus the move.
I really hope everyone is doing well. I heard there were t-shirt, etc. to be had!! (I hope i'm not spoiling a surprise or a secret or anything). I also have some making up to do to some of the CH members *blushes*
Like always, i'll try to post here more. Hope everyone has a good day!!

Well, at least you can take solace in not being a Leafs fan! (Yes, I realize that I live in BC now but I'll always consider myself a displaced Torontonian )
I'm essentially taking a mental health week having just wrapped up 6 months of working abroad, and today certainly fit the bill. Returning to "reality" is going to be interesting.
Re: Tuesday is a good day for Tea at the Coffee House
I will admit that I am not in the best shape. I can generally keep up with my kids reasonably well, and enjoy myself being physically active. That said, I am afraid that chasing kids through the zoo for 5 hours yesterday has officially killed me. I simply ache all over, and want to do nothing but lie in bet concentrating on remaining completely still.
Ok, done whining. Completely still is not in the cards today, since I still have a prom dress to finish. If anyone needs me, I will be chained to the sewing machine.

Re: Tuesday is a good day for Tea at the Coffee House
Finishing up a conference call here then some colleagues are taking me to lunch - best tacos in Lima I'm told!
So much of this job is budgets and managing staff - sometimes that's fine but sometimes I just want to design!!!
Anyway, thinks are goIng well so far - a couple more days here then back to Vancouver.
Doc - slamfist raises a cervaza to Gombur. Shadow - been hard to follow down here - I guess tonight's the big night for NJ. My only comfort going forward is the hope that Boston too loses in the first round, go Washington!
Hope all else are well. I hope together a mental health day soon! Maybe Saturday.
Re: Tuesday is a good day for Tea at the Coffee House
Ahhh.. thanks for opening Faythe. I wish I could afford a mental health day. I could use one,but I am hoarding all my PTO for a week vacation the end of next month to see the upcoming new Grandbaby that is due mid May
Doc, I do hope it works out for you. I worry about you. No staying up too late with Slammy and mulled ale my friend.
Hmmm I wonder if I have a horse in my mail. I am overdue to log into game.
Shadow!!! been wondering about you, haven't seen you here or FB. Sounds like its been a busy busy time for you.
I still have not gotten to make the bacon cupcakes. I have a couple of recipes I have been wanting to try, but tonight I think its a nice bread pudding for a cooking competition at work with a NOLA/Mardi Gras theme. Got a Honey Bourbon to use in the sauce. Hope it comes out okay
BTW Gweann.. awesome bag... I wish I were crafty that way. Course its bad enough I have Darth Vader hanging from my purse LOL
