or are we leery of the nerf bat? heard some talk about soloing the new isen 3 mans, but can't find any videos. Just looking for something to do till my friend gets on.
Thanks to science the gaps god can hide in are getting fewer and smaller all the time. In the future god will be left to reside in mythology and it's believers will become irrelevant and simply an amusing remnant.
Thank you, Orion. You are my aaa-numbah aaaa-one aaa-guy! (joker? no?) k.
I have yet to try the 3-man with the troll, because I hate that instance more than anything else, but Pits and Fang are easy T1 solo's.
Also, I recently solo'd the Rift all the way up to the balrog (need at least 2 to complete him due to mechanics). That was a crazy fun challenge. Ironically enough I found I often fared better in my squishy DPS build with red traits than I did in a tanking setup.
If you want a more on level challenge, it's possible to solo Foundry Teir 1, but very time consuming and very costly.
Ghost Bear see problem. Nice peoples looking at Horse mouth. Ghost bear look at Horse belly. Horse make good snack!
I recently did a foundry run with 1 healing rk and 4 champs. On the last fight our healer died on the first fire and I healed myself all the way through, yes not even a cappy. Using stun immunity against Ghash's scripted stuns was the key and this was T2 challenge btw. Arguably I was also healing the champs due to the eye and aoe and penrith random hits, I had to keep conviction up all the time which is not as easy as it sounds when you're trying to keep agro off of 4 geared champs and self healing and timing shield tactics. Power was also tricky to manage. I was swapping out carvings for shield and fist gambits.
So next time I'm gonna go in with 5 champs on T2c so I can make it official. May be you could do the same. It's not exactly solo but it's just incredibly time consuming in determination all by yourself. It's a way to show that our tanking style actually works in on-level semi-hard instances. After this I'm thinking RoF t2 self healing, should be easy with the mega nerf on green spiders.
PS: Wish I had combat analysis to check my total heals, I shall record this next time.
Right on! I'm out of practice, so I'm gonna build up to them. Ran Darn's acid wing last night and I swear I coulda solo'd the Troll but I kept flubbing and over-building, not firing off the gambits I needed when I needed them. But took him from 70k ish to 45 or so when I got too far behind. My buddy hates it when I feel froggy lol. Thanks, guys.

I was doing Darknagh T2 and my healer died because they got too close to his rage on the second corner.
The hunter then died shortly after that.
I was able to solo the rest of the instance until the last few seconds of the fight. He stunned me as he went into a rage meaning I could not escape, when all that was left to do was run away :'(
I noticed that I took significantly less damage when I was the only one left, as he would usually randomly go hit something in the middle, he kind of just stopped attacking for a while. This allowed me to keep up with self heals.
When other people are alive, I cannot keep myself up with only self heals.
So far I've soloed Pits of Isengard T1 Foundry to after second boss. Dargnach T1. Suprisingly easy but very time consuming lol.
Fangorns edge seem to be easy enough but i can't seem to rescue the ents :-( There's no dangerof me dying just that i can't manage to kerp them alive so they can kill the trolls. Will try again someday. Have seen vid of someone soloing isengard gate troll, will try that as next challange if I can get someone to get one of them away.
Tried School lvl 75, that was embarrasingly easy. Couldn't do challange tho with my poor dps.

VERY time consuming brother. took like half hour from start to kill first boss and i just gave up. 2nd boss would be easier to solo but i think last boss fight would be very challanging to outheal those damages
I have done this myself for 20 minutes or so and quite frankly got bored with it but I would love to see some warden with more patience than I have, solo phase 3 of Draigoch. Bring six friends in with you and solo the head up top for the first two phases and then once you are into phase three solo it the rest of the way.
I know it can be done because I have soloed the head no problem and then soloed phase three when the other 6 died. But they all wanted to go again and I was getting bored.
If I were to try to do this again I would slot the trait that lowers my cool down on my javelin skills by 15 sec and make sure I had the max range legacy on my weapon. You can swap stance between assailment and determination but I think the javelins would be the way to go for the rear claws especially.
Just make sure you bring a sandwich and a pee bottle.
Firstly,
thanks for all the ideas and responses. I'm currently working on my gambit speed lol.
Secondly,
I'm sorry for any offense, and So Sorry that this has happened.
thank you Knightlock, I am again reminded why I keep my children away from intolerant people. I wasn't trying to start a fight, I have been using that sig line for years on different games. Get off of your high horse.
Other people believe different, and I would never jump your case for putting scripture in your signature line.
You called me ignorant by saying I never picked up a science book (fisheries and wildlife double major)
You called me a fool-One sure mark of a fool is anyone who deems anything past thier experience as impossible. I've been to church. Went for the first 15 years of my life. And the worst people I have met have been upper level church goers (ahem-politicians for the church)
You called me illogical. "learn how to use logic properly." Your logic fails in that you think calling people names on a video game forum will make them do what you say.
I didn't call anyone anything.
Please remember, this is a PUBLIC forum, where people discuss things you may not agree with. Sorry I offended you, but I do believe there is a certain freedom of expression involved here.
I used the lower case "god". I don't hate religion. I hate religious people.

Ok! Back again to the interesting main topic, I decided to give Rift a try after learning the dynamics of the trash pulls and Bosses (that's right, I am a F2P generation) and I found it so entertaining and challenging that it was exciting enough for 2 nights at work while on break.
I have to say that the biggest challenge was Fruz with all the waves of mobs and his many stun/knockdowns. But I managed it pretty well after a couple of tries. It was hard to dps, heal, apply stun immunity just before add waves and kill all adds fast /FLEX
The rest of the instance was no big deal, mainly just tank-n-spank. As stated before in the post, I don't find possible to do Thaurlach alone due to the mechanics. But oh well, I don't mind getting a couple of friends to finish it up.
I feel like doing it a couple of more times to get more class cosmetics and why not get the full set for my cappy to have the extra phys. mit. on motivation speech.
You don’t like it? Go somewhere else! To another universe, where the rules are simpler.-Feynman.
I challenge my friend to do some of BG and DN solo, so far he has managed to solo all trash pulls in DN and he's done the gauntlet in BG. He couldn't solo the two armors before it due to their distributed damage of like 11K per hit but he did take 16K off one :P
Gilrain - Draigoch First 13/10/2011
Celestrata - Surprise, it's not a glitch!

So he's done all the trash pulls in DN but not the bosses? What happened after trash pulls... kin mates just came to help? I am just curious. Sounds like a fun challenge.
