Hello i played lotro back when it was first made in the beta loved it that much got a Life time Sub tho did not know that WB was taking over and that everything went F2P so i'm back know and cant get my lifetime sub back so i created a free account and took the 3 months for $29.97 seemed the best offer.
So my question is does that give me access to the new things all quests ect or do i have to buy the new games and insert the codes for the quests and other ingame things ?

I can't believe they took away your lifetime sub. Hopefully they gave you plenty of Turbine points for it. I think $10 a month is about as cheap as a sub gets. You could save your money and play for free.
Hey i wish that was the case but nope they said they cant help me as i didnt merge from code masters in the set time and told me to make a free 2 play account.
what i wanted to know was my account says this
Game Version History
Shadows of Angmar™ Guest

So does this mean i only have access to this ?
I wished I could help you with that, but I bought my copies of Mines of Moria and Shodows as a combo. If you have a copy of the game, try entering your code on your f2p account.

Wait, that may be a bad idea. Maybe you should try and open your old account as a f2p. Your game code is probably tied to that account, if you have one. If not, that's probably the reason it says you're a guest.
Well ive tryed entering my game codes to new account just says invalid and i cant get access to my old account as code masters dosnt support it ive tryed entering the old details on the launchers just says error
As long as you maintain your Subscription you will have access to all areas and ALMOST all content.
You may need to purchase the Mines of Moria Expansion if you wish to have the Rune Keeper and Warden classes and the 2 extra character slots (These can be purchased from the store seperately)
The same will go for Rise of Isengard and Siege of Mirkwood Expacs
Any codes you have for your old version will no longer be valid.
Not just because they are single use, but also because they were for the Codemasters version.
As you know Codies no longer have any dealings with Lotro
You may be able to find copies of the Mines of Moria on ebay or such like, just make sure they are Turbine version and not Codemasters (check the logo on the box)
To check which account type you have:
After you create your first toon. Check the top of the character select screen.
It will tell you your account type ... Free, Premium or VIP

A payment method is required to activate this Product Key. Please select a payment method below.
But i payed the 29.99 so do i have to pay again to active the code ?
I still don't understand how you lost a lifetime sub. They should have all transferred. I'd fight that one a little more if it were me.
Well i sent a thew emails out and all said the same i had to migrate my account over and i didnt do it in the time given and turbine now cant access the old codemasters accounts.
The migration was not automatic at all. Due to data protection legislation, all information had to be requested by the user to be transferred from Codemaster's authority to Turbine's authority. If you didn't request the transfer to Turbine, they have no way of accessing your data. While this is annoying, this is the only route that Turbine could take to merge services while staying on the right side of the EU Information Commission, and as Google and others have experienced, getting on the wrong side of them can be expensive!
There is a thread somewhere that is a petition for people who missed the migration to add their names to. I believe, but could be wrong, that Sapience said that if there were enough people who would request it, they might reopen migration at some point in the future. I'm sure someone can link this for you.
To answer your original question, your new account's VIP subscription gets you access to everything in game that aren't expansions (Moria, Mirkwood, Isengard I think are the xpacs). All quest packs, instances, classes (apart from RK & Warden - Moria xpac), etc etc, so on that front, you do not have to pay any more to access content. What you've bought with the Mithril edition, when you can get it to work, is access to content for any time when you're not VIP, so once you can get the code to apply, you will have access to those quest packs regardless of whether you're VIP or not.
Account names on the login screen have been a point of confusion recently - if it says you are VIP, then you should be VIP, however the account name might not reflect this as it is manually set and does not change when your subscription data changes. Try to log in, and then see if you have access to VIP perks like Swift Travel and all quests.
Also, try to see if you can find a Skype connection to phone Turbine support in the US. Should be cheaper than using most other methods to get in touch.
Ok thanks for that i will have to take alook for the skype number yes and when i log in it says free to play all i know is i cant make a warden or runekeeper and i have 5 slots ive also now added the mithril which gave me 2k TP and a horse thing not sure about what quests i can do or such yet as im only level 13

Thanks for the great explanation and thanks for helping him out. I just wished I could've been half as helpful. +1 rep for you!
I've edited my original post, as I thought the Mithril edition gave something it didn't.
You should be able to quest in all zones of Eregion, from Ered Luin in the east, to Misties in the West, to Forochel and Angmar in the north, down to Eregion in the south (maybe Enedwaith) with your setup now. Moria is the gate to Rhovanion, and you would need to buy the quest pack as a minimum for that to be useful, the expansion if you want the extra classes. However, I would advise not to spend any more money until you speak to Turbine!
At lvl 13, start thinking of finishing off whatever starter area you're in, then head to Bree around lvl 15 and go from there.
