Will the Developers of Lotro make a Magic DPS class so Lore-Master don't have to fight tooth and nail to make there Creator more powerful. I mean a hunter is of course OP(if you play him right) so I mean why not? A magic DPS class would make a great edition to Lotro.

Rune keepers are very powerful mages, like the others said before. The best thing about them is that you can be a great dpser or a powerful healer. If you tried a rune keeper and didn't like it, Lotro may not be the game for you. Try a sorcerer in Aion. In end game pvp armor, they can 1 shot an opponent.
Runekeeper may be the class you're looking for - but LotRO really shouldn't be looking for a mage DPSer. There is a requirement (as part of the license) to stick within reasonable lore grounds, and a WOW-Style mage would pretty quickly breach it.
There are enough alternative fantasy games (which I also enjoy from time-to-time) - not least DDO, also by Turbine - without losing sight of the fact that LotRO is a Middle Earth MMO. That means no teleporting wizards, no paladins, no clerics, and no flying mounts. Ever. It's just not that game.
As some of the other posters stated, Turbine created the Mage DPS class called the Rune Keeper as an alternative to the Hunter DPS class in 2008. I doubt we get anything more direct damage mage that the RK. This IP does not have any lore basis in the Third Age for a traditional nuker Mage like what is found in other games. This IP is not a high fantasy or high magic. The most powerful magical artifact in existence looks like a plain gold ring that you give your spouse at a wedding ceremony.
Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.
I hope not. As much as I love D&D, and I've played that for 30 years, this is not Dungeons and Dragons.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
Civ II rules after all these years......
