Thread: PLEASE turn the ingame mylotro into a fully functioning browser!

Since I can't use any other programs because of my nvidia quadro not being fully compatible with lotro, I would really like to also be able to use the mylotro window for browsing too. In the meantime I will have to use this post to go to http://lotro.mmorsel.com/p/virtuefinder.html and http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/The_City_of_the_Kings

Please don't delete this post and please comment on this idea. Maybe someone knows how to make an addon for an ingame browser?

The myLOTRO window is in fact a full-fledged browser, minus the address bar. It can even load plugins. (You could watch videos on YouTube.)

However, it's based on a very old and outdated version of Mozilla (equivalent to Firefox 2.0) with lots of known vulnerabilities. I wouldn't recommend using it for general purpose web browsing.

If you'd like to leave yourself links to safe sites, I'd recommend making a blog post on myLOTRO with those links. That way you'll see them as soon as you open the window.

The main problems are that you dont have an adress bar and it resets every time you open it (workaround is that you press the "previous page" button).

My preference would be for the game to invoke the default browser inside of the client. This solution maybe a problem with someone on a low end machine. Turibne wants everybody to have access to the Lotro Store.
