Before I was into LOTRO, I was a FPS freak, been playing COD since Modern Warfare 1 and the new COD games have been dissapointing and boring. I was never really into MMOs in general. So when MW3 came out, I lost hope. So then I went to WoW, played until march, but it never really fitted my style. Then I discovered LOTRO, and ever since I have been hooked, the gameplay is nice and smooth, the classes are equally powerful and the community is great too! I play casually around 2 to 3 hours a day and I have not spent a penny since march! and I still don't need to! Lotro offers so much content and so much variety that I'm hooked! There are a few minor bugs like steeds stopping in the middle of the way to your destination, people stopping then being half-way through to the other end of Thorin's hall, but all in all Lotro was a great experience. I have not tried PvP. It was not really my style in WoW, I always prefered PVE. Watch out Arkenstone, we are going to have a lot of adventures together.

It is not bug, it's lag. Try change internet provider

I'd disagree.
It started with U6 and still happens to a lot of players.
It could be normal lag but it seems that there is still some problem in the game client that causes this.

It was never lag. In the old days, the server was overloaded. You had to wait for the subserver hand off and or the loading the the required land blocks. These days is a bug in the Lotro store. It is a hard halt that prevents the warp jump on swift travel or stops you on a landscape stable horse. It is happening to a lot of customers including me. See: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...itching-issues
for more details. Turbine tried to fix it on April 16, 2012. The fix did not work.
Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.
welcome to lotro and arkenstone. I also play there, its a smallish server but there are some raiding kins, pvp buffs, and loads of great casual people. I would say it is a top server for casual players.
I tried COD mw2 for a while but it was a bit silly to me --- a knife in the foot was as deadly as a rifle round to the head, and a "sniper" scope had less magnification than was used in WWII (modern ones are 10 times more powerful). That combined with the runaway victor issue (the more you win, the more stuff you have to make winning easier...! -- IMHO the loser should get the airdrops and support to even the odds) made me tire of it pretty quickly. Its a great platform for pvp, but a big disappointment for realism. It was a lot of fun, but after a while, the exact same thing every session.
