Thread: Hunter tomes not working?

Hi there!

Not long a go I noticed my Tome of the Windrider was not working. No matter what I do, I can't seem to be able to make my Tome of the Windrider work. I thought that was something wrong with my toon, but then I realized no hunter I meet has any Tome working.

But then a couple of days a go I grouped with this Hunter for LL dailies and there it was: she had a Tome of the Windrider equipped and working.

Any thoughts on this? Do you guys have the same issue?

P.S.: Apart from the Hunter I met the other day, no hunter seems to use Tomes anymore.

I have both the westfold windrider and whisperdraw. They both work for me, I just normally use the whisperdraw for the +300 morale.

And how did you determine that it is not working?

It's not showing bellow my portrait like every other effect -- Find the Path, Stances, food and the like.

The tomes don't show up as effects, because they're not. Does your other equipment show up as an effect? Watch your morale or power change when you equip one or the other. Watch your skills cost less power with the Windrider equipped than with it off. Less obviously, observe you pull threat less with the whisper-draw tome equipped.

Any hunter without a tome equipped is just gimping themselves.

Tomes used to show... But anyway, if it's working, that's what counts. Thanks!

Don't mistake the Hunter-tomes for the Warding- and Battle-Lore scrolls. I can't recall they ever showed as effects below the character portrait. If that was the case, this must have been during the CodeMasters times of LotRO.

No, I'm not mistaking it for scrolls. And I'm sure the effect of hunter tomes used to be shown, but no anymore.

The icons for equiped hunter tomes was removed for unknown reason quite a while ago, but usually I'll notice not having it equiped one way or the other.

300 Morale? If I recall, it was only 160 Morale.
