Thread: Slayer Deeds - any way to speed up aka AOE build

Hello folks,

im done with every slayer deeds, on my main toon a tank. Everything done in OP Stance, grabbing 6 and more adds at once and farming or doing the deeds this way.

Now im doing it with my hunter... and, sure my single target dps is nice... but compared to my main.. it takes longer, since im only killing one by one.

I have heard hunter can do some aoe, and im really considering it to craft a new weapon just for this purpose, yet i´v never done it before, so i hope one of you can help me with a AOE Build for Hunters. I simply refuse to kill adds 1 by 1 (right now)..

Care to elaborate this, what traits, relics or virtues do i need to have for this new buil?

Well whenever I'm slayer deeding I use 5b/2r (having the crit rating on RoA and the reset of RoA on always) and then try to pick up as many mobs as possible onto me and then Low Cut and RoA them down, with Split shots if I'm bored. However, that's only useful for a lot of mobs in the same place. Single target with 40m range is pretty decent for slayer deeds that the mobs are super spread out. I can usually one hit mobs with a crit auto attack (level -50) running around with Imp. Fleet.

For the various traits, hunters usually get their morale/vit/mits from their virtues, so I usually stack Zeal/Valour/Innocence/Fidelity/Honour and then mix in Mercy/Determination for more agil/PM depending on the situation.

tl;dr Single target slayer deeding sucks, but its faster than being a burglar.

Just slot the two aoe traits (hail of arrows and something else) and go to town! Honestly though I find it's usually faster just to blow stuff up single-target though since things usually aren't clustered up enough to make AOE worthwhile (on on-level enemies when solo I only aoe if there are 4 or more...otherwise I find it much faster to do single-target). And if you kill them in 1-4 shots, it goes super-fast anyways!

If the mobs are grey to you or spread out a bit, its faster to just go single target. You can one-shot most landscape mobs under 50, and two-shot 50-65, and three-shot 65-75. Plus or minus a shot depending on gear. I usually just use Swift Bow on one, then pop two PS shots on the next, then back to SB. Sometimes its faster anyway because you dont have to run around to get them all grouped. You just sit in one spot and shoot.

Okay, here my results :

Hunter AOE ain´t a viable option for On Level farming.. tried it against few oathbreaker shade thingies(great river, parth celexxx?).. did crit for 2k each or so, but not enough dmg to beat them (5 adds). Since we don´t have any defence at all... it was rather quick and a painful experience for me.

In other words, back to single target dps. Thanks for the feedback though, but i´m not going to aoe lvl 75 mobs anymore
