But we're not dead yet "Thursday" not Wednesday Morning Coffee (and Tea!)
There is still chaos in the streets, Slamfist is resting at the coffeehouse, in his full Canucks gear, when a cart pushed by a rather noxious individual advances up the street. "Bring out yer dead." he cries. An Edmonton Oiler player is thrown on the cart. "Whew... that one's been dead for weeks!"
Suddenly a group of Los Angeles Kings grab the resting Slamfist and throw him onto the cart. Dustin Brown grins "Here's One!"
The noxious and rather groping fellow, who actually looks a little like Mike Milbury when you look closely "That'll be ninepence." Protesting from the cart, Slamfist cries out, "But I'm not dead."
"What's that?" says Milbury, as Brown scrambles to pull out ninepence. "Guys, what's a ninepence? Anyway, here's a whole dollar!"
Slamfist is getting insistent now, "I'm not dead." Milbury tends to agree, "Ere now, he says he's not dead."
The Kings, to a man, "Yes. He is. They all are, the Canucks. We've got 20 more inside..."
"I'm not"
"He isn't"
"well they will be soon. They're down 3 games to 1 "
"We're geting better. Schneider played great. And we have Daniel Sedin back. Did you see that behind the back pass! Woooooo!"
Dustin Brown, getting desperate now, "No, no signs of life, you'll be dead in one more game!"a
Milbury, "Well I can't take him like that. It's against regulations."
Slamfist gets up from the cart, and begins doing a jig, "I feel fine! and Seriously Brown, and the rest of you kings, we're back baby! Down 3 games to zero, we've survived one more night. Now it's time for a coffee. Wilson!"
Will the Kings finish off the Canucks, or will the Canucks stage a comeback for the ages? For one more night anyway, the dead collector won't be gathering any Canucks (or Penguins for that matter!)
Good morning Landroval. The coffeehouse is open for business!

Good morning Landrovalrim. Lots to do, little time, and even less help. Story of my life. I got a great deal done yesterday, though. It's a good feeling, although my body is feeling the results of a full afternoon of yard work.
Hope everyone is well.

Thursday!? Really!? It's Thursday?! Off to Lima tomorrow... Wow, this week has been a blur.
Re: But we're not dead yet Wednesday Morning Coffee (and Tea!)
Morning Landrovalrim,
I was going to do some roleplay with Slammy this morning, but the vicious hit that one of the Blackhawks took from a Phoenix player has kind of soured me a bit on the sport. Its one thing to play the game hard, its another to hit with intent to injure. I dont expect to see a player down on the ice for five minutes and removed on a stretcher when I watch a hockey game. Oh once in a while the puck can take a bad bounce and cause a serious injury, but this was done by a truly brutal hit; and the guy that did it is a thug (and former vancouver canuck) who has a history of this type of violence and in my opinion should not even be in the league.
Anyway, Slammy have a good trip, and congrats on the win. Its entirely possible both our teams will be watching the playoffs from home, in which case we can use the coffeehouse rink for some true old time hockey without the playoff spotlight. I dont like the announcers on Dwarven Hockey TV anyway!
Gweanne, grats on the awesome cleanup job. Alditha, grats on teh Interwebz service being restored.
Have a good day all.

'Morning, Landrovalingas!
Not a whole lot to report from me this morning. I haven't been watching the hockey games but am glad to see us get in at least one win. Garaf is here until Monday, which is nice too.
Oh, and I thought I should let you know that we named my wireless network "Durin's Bane". No, I don't play too much LotRO - why do you ask?
Wagnard, nice design! And I remember that old one, Rhyssa. The Leaf and Bean forever!
Have a good time in Lima, Slammy. Stay safe and don't overwork yourself!
