    Pet Healing is kinda broken...

The Herald has a skill called "Lend Courage" it uses to give you some morale.

My main complaint is the long "pause". Is the Herald attempting to make its brain process, but only succeeding in making smoke pour out his ears? Why the long pause before throwing me a heal? How is it useful to me if I can't use it when I need it? I've had this darn thing clicked on many times right when I needed it, and it ended up using the heal after I died. Oh yes, sure, how bloody useful.

Another improvement they could make to Lend Courage is making it an AoE (10m radius), 5 targets max, or maybe at the least giving an additional HoT. I'm quite frustrated with it, and normally (ever since then) have been questing with a banner instead. My banner is there when I need it, and doesn't sit there like a dummy when I ask it to move (re-dropping it). It's there to buff as needed.

This totally sounds like a rant lol sorry, it's just that...
I'm so frustrated with it to the point where I want to destroy the herald with fire! >=)

Unhappy Re: Pet Healing is kinda broken...

I was recently questing my cappy in Tharad Barsir (mess of a place with too many patrolling robbers and archers) and had a good couple of oh crud moments, so yes, I too noticed this long delay. (It eventually fired, but I think it must have been planning on 3 other things before it finally did.) As I have it hotslotted to click on for the heal. (I turn the toggle off so that the skill doesn't fire off at the Start of a battle, which it always does.) Saved it for an oh crud/help heal, but yes. the delay is way longer.

I'm not an experienced cappy, so there may be other thing involved,
but usually by the time I need/want that heal, my herald is OOP
    and cannot perform said action.

Do not remember if it was that skill though...

Re: Pet Healing is kinda broken...

My solution was to put the skill on a quickslot, and hit it a bit ahead of time.

This has the benefit of queuing it up and firing it as soon as it could. Since it has such a loooong CD, you are only using it when you need to, and only once per fight, so I found it effective when I did that.

Fortunately you'll soon have better gear (take less damage, particularly if you slot stuff with good mitigations), soon have better self heal skills (spam your remove fear for the deed), and soon have better heralds, which all make this a moot point. (The archer defensive skill acts the same way, FYI.)

Just put it in Auto fire. If it fires off at the beginning of a fight and you kill everything before its back up then you probably don't need it anyway. Otherwise it should be back off cd for when you want it. Don't be afraid to move about a little bit or kite if you need to reduce damage. I find that this way the heal fires off regularly and I dont have to waste time micro-managing or even thinking about it.

Make sure that you have Shield Brother or Blade Brother on your herald and use Inspire to keep self-heals up.

Finally have a loot at Crests

That doesn't eliminate the pause... but this will help some thanks for the post
