Unhappy Dwarves haven't got many classes

That's all in the title,we should have dwarf capitains, dwarf burglars and perhaps dwarf lore-masters.Or we should have classes only for dwarfs like the captains for the humans. What do yu think about it?
Sorry if i have english mistakes.

Not keen on dwarven mages( including runekeeps) but it might be interesting to see them borrow and improve upon a trick from the goblins: dwarven bombardier.

Dwarves have too many classes already. Get back in the mines and back to work.

Dwarven cappies or wardens would be nice. I heard dwarves were supposed to get wardens, but the devs ran out of time to do the full conversion. Don't know if it's true or not, though. I'd prefer a cappy tbh, or a new, custom class. I really wish each race had a custom class, especially if it was kinda jack-of-all-trades-ish-but-with-a-particular-leaning-sort-of-like-cappies-and-healing. Let,s be honest, elves sorely deserve a stealth class, and dwarves really should have a pet class, probably a dwarven warrior pet with a few variations, geared towards damage or tanking as opposed to the buffing or damage that cappies choose between. Hobbits? I dunno, give them a Bounder?

I think the classes are balanced as-is, but if there were to be another class for dwarves added I'd think Warden would fit the bill.

    There is a dwarven lore-master in-game.

He's the Dourhand trainer during the elf and dwarf prologue

    Lol, well said.

On topic, I think the dwarf race has a good combo of classes. Dwarf captains are a little odd, mostly because the way the class is designed - a warlike race like dwarves obviously have good officers, and that's basically what a captain is. However, the class draws heavily on the whole "inspiring the hearts of Men" thing, complementing the Man racial perks. With some minor changes, I'm OK with stumpy Captains.

Warden, however... it's kind of an "outdoors" class, and dwarves tend to stick to the underground. Of course, that didn't stop them from making Dwarf hunters, which I never really understood either...

I think it's funny that I can somehow suspend disbelief and accept Dwarves in light armour, but the thought of them in medium is weird. Even Dwarf hunters seem out of place.

    Here's a question for you.

Do you see dwarves and hobbits being vegetarians?

If not, then that is the justification for them to have hunters who hunt animals for food... and end up caught up in something greater.

Most of the classes for any race could be considered ordinary citizens or soldiers that got caught up in the flow of fate and aspired to something greater.

Does cow hunting even require a bow, though?

I imagined they traded for food, since, you know, they're knee-deep in gems and precious metals.

Re: Dwarves haven't got many classes

Dwarven hunters aren't very far-fetched. Every race has a hunts for food. And if that is because of the using bows - if a hobbit can use one, I don't see how a dwarf couldn't. Besides, the Hunter class could, with some name-changing, be called 'Scout' or 'Archer'.

Overall, I think dwarves have an alright amount of classes, fairly lore-friendly. Though having Captains would be nice, and LM could fit as well, considering they used thrushes and ravens (fitting as much as a lore-master can be, but that is best left for another thread)

Going back to human history, even once humans developed agriculture, they still hunted for meat.

Heck, even in today's first world countries, we still hunt for meat.

As for trading for food - why trade gems and precious metals when you can trade tiny bits of wood and metal for entire animals?

I tease the Dwarves ... I do, but it's all in good fun. What I like about your post is the Lore behind it.

I still can't play anything with legs that are shorter than the torso ... but more power to you if you can convince someone with some basis from the books. Cheers.
