Did anyone else have dyed satchels revert to white? My LI satchels are white and now undyable. Tried a couple low level crafted and the three basic satchels from the RK trainer. They'll accept the dye but stay white.
Just curious if I'm alone with all these white satchels.
I was just about to make the exact same thread, yes - owned. Dyes not recognised, they just stay white - possible attempt to fix the store ones that could not be dyed but it hasn't worked?

White outfit ftw i guess..
White outfit indeed. At least white beats obnoxious teal in my book
Before we address this dye bug... let us address the ugly a$$ Moors armour and the lack of ability to dye it decently...
While I didn't see any notes on it, it may be intended, to maybe reduce some lag in the 'moors. All 'moors armors the same color, less to load into memory? Just a thought..
I really hope this is just a bug, because suddenly dressing in nothing but white is not an option for me. All of my outfits look ridiculous now and I'm a super slow leveler who ends up spending most of her time rping or crafting, so I don't have the invisible LI satchel yet... :<
Please don't let this be WAI like the whole Ceremonial Robe of Viisaus thing.
I died a tier 2 crafted bag Black, and it worked fine, maybe it's been fixed?
Ooh, hopefully.
Did you equip it though and check the colour? The crafted bags I tested let me use the dye on them but they were stuck that dirty, off-white colour as well as the tooltip not showing them dyed as any colour.
Count yourselves lucky Mine still aren't taking dye. My two once-were-black LI satchels can't be dyed at all, my decon LIs will let me use the dye but don't actually change colour (or show it on the tooltip) and the low level satchels from the RK trainer do the same thing.
Yes! I thought it was just me or something. Why would they take that away?
Quite Honestly I wish I had my invisible RK bag from beginning but I didn't know any better and it's too late now. I tried to get a hold of another one when my LM had the option of picking and choosing....only to find the class item bind on acquire? Why would they allow any class to pick any class item other than their own when it's bind on acquire??? My fault for not reading closer but silly that it's set up like that....so I'm holding the spare one I have now with hopes one day they'll make it free to pass to another toon.
Wishful thinking....
And might I add that runekeepers are all about presentation! Just look at our skill animations....we gotta coordinate and dress the part also.

Agreed on both points! Heck I only just learnt that my LI satchels could be dyed, prior to that it was just the cheap low level trainer ones I was using.
Ah well, at least the white-ish colour is easier to match than turquoise as far as outfits go
Mine are a drab purple/white. They were deep purple, as the dye is supposed to be, prior to the patch.
I thought LoTRO devs had learned their lesson with the rage over the undyable sea-green satchels. I really think this is a bug, especially considering all the RK complaints (myself included) the last round of this. I don't see a reason why they would need to "undo" dyeability of satchels. Methinks someone was just tinkering with something that didn't need tinkering. Probably how the LM staves got really skewed in passive placement.
Elendilmir: ~*~Ryssawyn~*~ (RK)
Acheros (LM) Snozzberries Defiler of great taste.

Been wearin it a day or 2 now and it's still black. Bear in mind it's just a t2 crafted bag, for my 21 RK, not a fancy legendary piece, so I don't know how those are working or not.

I have a second age level 75 Rune Satchel that was dyed black prior to this goof up. Now it's just not as vibrant. *sad panda face*

pre update 6.1 my rk had a red second age bag to go with the orthanc armour. post 6.1 it became the ugly grey/white, and wouldn't accept red dye. figured maybe i can dye it orange instead- turns out it accepted the orange dye, but made absolutely no difference to the colour of the bag. disappointing.

If you put the satchel in the wardrobe (if you have a wardrobe...) you can cosmetically equip this satchel on your RK.
It won't let me do it. Says that only outfits can be stored in the wardrobe.
*more sad panda face*
I swear I put it in the wardrobe and I still have that invisible satchel there. Maybe "putting the satchel in the wardrobe" is not allowed for other classes other than RKs...

I tested this out:
>My actual Rune Keeper could throw a level 75 third age satchel into the wardrobe.
>My Loremaster could not put the legendary class item reward in the wardrobe with the message "Only outfits can be stored in your wardrobe."
Although knowing this is good news for me...means I can just buy another character slot and relevel another Rune Keeper to that quest so that my main RK will still have a chance at that satchel and never worry about issues like this again!
Why, yes, I do believe I am a dork.

Update 7 has fixed Rune-satchels & dye for me. They don't state that they're dyed, but they'll take dye and show that when equipped. Also my LIs reverted to their previous dye states.

Thanks Turbine!
It did! It did!!
Very glad (and picky) Rune Keeper.
