Wow, a whole new breed of skill and class out there. I've witnessed a lot of fail recently on both sides, but wow, I think that may have to be the winner even over the 12 vs 2 last night. That's hilarious.

Flies are OP though. It is similar to a shield-traited warden using 4 hots in a 1v1.

Nah, they were previously obtained and in a constant state of flux. I still need to go for 5 star defiler.

Haha, nice. I was 4 star once thanks to Chef, but then the two of us immediately and intentionally ran face first into AuP afterward and they all vanished within seconds. Kind of wish I had gone for 5, since it was right before I went on the break from LOTRO. Would have been a fun way to quit, but I'm lousy about hugging.
It was amusing to watch him have someone pull flies away, but then pop WotC. Because those pesky flies are more OP than WotC. Because flies do you know what to peoples food...
They actually are though. A high ranked defiler with improved flies can beat anyone in a 1v1, except for maybe a tactical class class that gets a few powerful crits in a row.
Most melee classes for example run at around 1500-2500 power. Improved flies drains around 70 power each second.
I agree with Aza (wth?). But the fact is that all those freeps hugging the rez circle were interfering with a 1v1. The LM should have feared the flies, or called the fight off if he had a problem with it (just my opinion, I dont play an LM )
I have seen Rhine and Rubi and a few other top guards handle rank 8 defielrs no prob, simply by attack duration negative mods and extreme slows and bleeds (induction stacks as well). And any burg who gets on my defiler with a properly traited Addle legacy, well, instant hots and 1.2 sec induction skills are about all I can manage then (slimes and lobs)

LOL Temujin....that is not quite how it went down. First, this was an organized 1v1 circle that had been participated in for 5 hours at least. They knew what was up. Back in the day, and you know this, any interference like that would be instant zerg. And what you were talking about was me taking on 9 freeps outside of LC, no CD's left, 6 bleeds, slows, tact Hots on two rows, only to have you ambush me from stealth RIGHT as I was going to die. I called you out for that, and we talked about it. I certainly didnt QQ on the forums or bring it up in a public setting
Flies are also OP in my opinion.. Flies drain my whole power down to 0 in about 10sec. But on the other side, defilers can't do much against burglars (addle) or maybe some other classes if they don't have that kind of skill :/
Flies are pretty OP, well. to me they are to my low power warden and Guard that burn power super quick, if you dont like people QQing or pulling your flies away, maybe not use them? challenge yourself to win without using flies, i remember when the mits were stuffed and i fought omluk a bunch he wanted to find a strat that would work and he eventually decided flies were too op if he wanted any challenge, he wouldnt use them (or so i remember xD) i do the same on my Guard/warden, not to use CDs and for my warden to win without SPAMMING healz...or being blue line
or if your gonna use flies, this is for us low powered freeps, please dont use them when we have 0 power

I enjoy the underdog challenge each fight present, and working with a highly limited set of skills that are universal to all creeps. Its more of a feeling of accomplishment winning than I ever got freepside. Besides, freeps pose no real challenge anymore to be sucessful. It took me and others who started freeping when I did last year many many months of everyday all day fighting to get high ranked. It meant something then. High Warden was an achievement sough after, not many had it. Now we see freeps get it in a month or two. Meh, it is what it is

If you have bad gear and need to "compensate" for it by popping heals/CDs, then you shouldn't be in the moors in the first place.
IMO you should only come to moors with bad gear if you want the challenge...
if you dont like people QQing or pulling your flies away, maybe dont use them

Flies alone can win a fight against any melee class depending on how many crits said person does.
A high ranked defiler no matter how poorly or wellplayed resorting to fly spamming will destroy a warden if not shield traited considering our burst dps isn't on par with burgs, champs etc. and we have no incombat cc skills.
If dbd restored more than 100-180 power it might help, not like spamming it even matters since 180 power is 2 seconds of drainage Lol.
ok then with that kind of thought, lets get burgs to not stun and burn a creep more than half health in under 5 seconds, rks get to not use ec and get stupid massive crits in the 8-9k range, minis yeah they should just be deleted from the game for their op'ness and you can do the same to wardens too atm.
as for the way i fight, ask even one of the jack wagons pulling my flies off last night, if i beat someone with flies i dont use them again (sound familiar entonie). neal will attest to me losing with and without flies and nomere can say the same. maybe stop whimpering about the flies and learn to combat them as some of the best freeps on this server have. i have even seen a couple of them handing out advice in ooc on ways to do so but so did i and still get the tears.
Is there any skill people on either side can use anymore without someone whining or pulling the garbage like the failures in the video? It's one thing to gripe about blowing major CDs or general brokenness of the Moors/certain classes, but now this is getting silly.
OP or not, if defilers can't use flies now, I say LMs, RKs and Weavers have to put their pets away as well. It's only fair. Also, among many other things, what Hippi said just above me.

If the LM had specifically asked the Defiler not to use flies before the fight, then what resulted was justified.
However, if this was not brought up before the fight and the LM had an immediate issue with it, simply turning his/her back and stopping attack so it could have been discussed would have been the proper way to go.
Assuming the flies were not discussed prior to the fight, and with the LM failing to elect to stop the fight by turning his/her back after they were cast, the fight should have stopped once the Warden interfered. In this case it would be justified for the Warden to be killed by others. However, since the LM continued to attack the Defiler even after it was clear the Defiler was defending itself from third party interference(the Warden), both the Warden and the LM should have been killed by others.
Now that that is out of the way, do flies have CC protection, or did the LM forget it could keep the flies CC'd?

I've been having fun trying to get my 1v1's into double kb's lately. I find it far more challenging than regular 1v1's simply because there is only so much proficiency you can have at smashing buttons before its simply a matter of numbers.
I feel the same thing about creep ranks man. It doesn't help to keep interest when you see a lower rank have higher ranked skills than you.

What happened to the whole "challenge" thing? Did that just disappear off the radar? Or is it only one sided?
ps: Hippi just said that he doesn't use flies a second time if he notices it is too overpowered. So next time just fight him to the death the first time and give it another try afterwards
if the defiler used the improve flies, i think i need improved second wind and then spam second wind to counter the power drain, otherwise my power will go to zero pretty quick.
but then i haven't traited for improved second wind for a 1v1 for a long time lol, last time i did that was like pre U5 tho, so not sure if the power drain is even more powerful now than before
Yeah i think they drain more then it says because i recall a few open fights with defilers lately, says its drains 70-83 i think power per second yet i go through 1900 in about 5seconds when my moves hardly cost anything... So i think they're draining more then the tick suggests atm is all.

Which is why I don't bring out my mini to the moors anymore... I don't want to play like trash just because I have #### gear... And most of the time I brought my mini to the moors I was either running around with my shovel being a goofball or getting zerged, so the point you're trying to make here is moot.

Honestly the LM in that vid is a pos for WotCing and then having his buddy take away Hip's flies... like seriously it's a 1v1... you don't like what someone uses against you in it then deal with it yourself and don't fight them anymore... if someone interferes with any 1v1 they should be KOS in my book...
If you need your friends to help you in 1v1s and hold your hand you shouldn't be ####ing 1v1ing... and then blaming the player you 1v1'd that the skill is too OP when it wasn't even a ####ing CD skill...

anyways on topic...some freeps just cant seem to adapt to changes...ive had no problems 1v1ing defilers using traited flies...theres plenty of ways to counter flies but most freeps dont feel like trying...
