Cuz, idk. Decided not to buy it, and I guess that was a good choice!
Is Mordor out now and can I destroy the Ring?
Nope!
If I have enough money can I win Lotro PvP now?
On freepside, yes!!
Does the original OP realize that people just flip to the easier side every time this game buffs a different side?
No, he's clueless.
Are the Moors free to play yet?
Like I said, yes, but on creepside, and only the reaver class.
Are Jmez and Linlass still wh0res?
Of course!
There!
Now thats fast response Customer Service!
Lag thing is a bummer tho, maybe once that gets fixed it might be worth a try till Gw2(Jeez Ive said this about 3 mmo's now)

Yeah, the lag is very bad, and the Devs have been basically blaming it on EVERYONE'S computer but their bad servers . And I've already pre purchased GW2. Can't wait for beta next week. The game's PvP is comparable to DAoC, which has some of the best PvPs ever in any MMO =). Can't wait~

What will you be testing out on the Beta weekend?
I for one will be testing out 4 classes, WvW, starter zones and PvP.
The next event I'll be testing out the other 4 classes.

I'll be trying the Elementalist, Necro, and Mesmer (Not sure on the last two, since I'd like the Elementalist to be my main) WvW, and Structured PvP. Can't wait.
This weekend I've been trying Tera Online, and although, I must say, the game is beautiful and the gameplay itself is fun, the PvP seems quite boring :/. Players could be standing right next to you with a white tag name, and then a second later they could enable PvP and try and kill you while you have NPCs and such on you while you quest, which seems rather silly to me. And there's no real objective to PvP yet. Still a fun game though, but meh.

I will be trying necro, thief and guardian for sure. Will wait to see if I have time to fit in another. Definately be trying out structured and WvWvW pvp. And exploring those freaking massive cities. Also be testing out hotkey setups to see which will work better for those jumpy dodgy twitch muscles I haven't really used since I stopped playing FPS full time. On that note it should be a nice stress test of WvWvW to see how many people we can get all at one time in. The higher the number they can max those maps out to the better.
I will probably try out some of the pve content, though I don't want to ruin it for launch. Add to that I know it will be fun cuz well after years of the same; go to quest hub, get quest, kill X for Y and run back anything will be better pvp wise.
As far as Tera and TSW I haven't really looked at either since I don't think anything will drag me away from GW2, so I have just been goofing around with D3 this weekend (after it took me 3 hours to login).

PS Miss you over in Rift, the pvp there has become unfathomable bad and twink filled. So I just end up sitting around half the time.

I'm curious about the whole dynamic event type of questing. I don't think I've ever really experienced any sort of MMO like that before so I'm excited to see how it plays out in GW2. Oh, and I read that a maximum of 2,000 players can be in the WvW map total (So, counting all the four maps combined !!) It's going to be very interesting to see how this'll work out. And the whole creating siege weapons and battling it out for 2 weeks seems quite epic, to say the least =).

Lolol. Rift, Swotor, GW2, the same half a dozen ppl posting on the forums about how excited they are and yet... after everyone here we are. It makes my brain hurt. Who knows GW2 may be the one!

I have a lifetime account. I love my tribe and only play this game to hang with my tribe. Sorry.

The only legit reason for even sticking with this sorry excuse of a game is the good company, and GW2 won't actually kill it.
The pvp however? The 'moors will rot besides the occasional greenie and freep who's desperate for points.

Yep. Do you think I enjoy getting easymoded by you and the rest of your kin, Yelk? Do you think it's fun? Hell no. I do not enjoy Turbine's inability to fix this game's 'PvP'. If I didn't have a lifetime (Which I purchased when this game's PvP was actually close to balance) and an awesome community on creepside ( Love you guys <3) I wouldn't be posting here right now.

Rift was a good game. I ended up leaving because their classes were in such a flux I felt it would be better if I waited for them to be stable again. Never went back though, mostly because I went back for my masters and didn't want to pay monthlies on a small income.
I considered SWTOR for awhile, but ultimately decided against it because GW2 was around the corner and I'm not all that fond of Bioware's style of RPGs. It looked like their only real draw was a solid story line and relatively balanced game mechanics.
Regardless, I feel that it's definitely possible to make an educated judgement of the quality of an MMO before it comes out. GW2 has a lot of features that I've felt should be implemented into MMOs. Structured PvP should at least have the option for fair play, where passive statistics should not be the main factor. In my mind, the WvWvW system solves a lot of issues that plague factioning, including team play, population caps, and player drama.
Finally the PvE seems very solid and fun. I really like that dungeons are about the challenge, not about the gear. When I was playing my freep, I'd run Dark Delvings and Dungeons of Dol Guldur any time someone wanted to do it because the fun was in the difficulty. The gear/level grind wore me out in the end and so my freeps languish at level 70.
But enough rambling, my point is that ArenaNet made a lot of good choices. Things that I'm excited about and can see myself having fun doing for years. And enough of the community here sees it, too. I don't think we'll miss LotRO's community simply because it will move to GW2.

Re: Creeps on Brandywine and all of LOTRO need to Wake Up-Steelmaw
The people I know here is the only reason I bother logging in half the time. Its either that or I need a break from Rift. On that note, Rift was a really fun game, it was very pretty to look at, the raids are phenomenally difficult and the tree system for class builds was at one point in time a lot of fun. Oh not to mention Trion puts out content on an almost monthly basis. But in the end it is what it is, a gear based pvp system that has become more and more based around the level of difference between you and your opponents gear. So much so that twinking in the new fade and even the pvp before 50 is all about which side has the most geared players. That and honestly the pvp has turned into nothing but sitting around in either sides capital and waiting for your instanced pvp queue to pop.
swtor was just as bad but was fugly and seemed way outdated.
GW2 offers everything I want from an mmo honestly. An DAoC style 3 faction RvR pvp in WvWvW. Structured competitive pvp. Skill based pvp with no carrot on a stick gear grind. Its outright beautiful. Interesting combat mechanics which take the emphasis off of RNG and makes me use those twitch muscles I have been neglecting since UT. And pve that isn't the old find quest hub, read (which most of us don't) boring dialogue about how some scary beasts are going to eat the town folk, go out in some field somewhere to confront said beasties (which are meandering about looking as if they don't have any urge to eat said townfolk) kill X amount of them (preferably before someone else gets there and takes your kills) and hope to the goddess they actually drop X amount of Y item so you can go back and turn it in and start all over on an almost identical quest.
If in all of this I can have the company of a few good friends from here, I don't ever see the need to log into lotro ever again.

This is what I hate about PvE in Lotro.
What happens if you don't complete a quest in Lotro? You don't get any xp and a very low amount of coin.
Now take GW2. There's a group of bandits outside a village. They want you to go and kill the bandits. If you don't, the bandits attack the village. Defend the village, or all merchants will be lost there. There will be another Dynamic event to take back the village.
See, in GW2, the game doesn't care whether you participate or not. The world will evolve without you. In lots of Beta video's I've seen, the tester just finished a Dynamic event, and literally encountered another one straight away.
GW2 has:
Downscaling
Balanced Structered PvP
3 faction World PvP (the maps about 10 times bigger than the moors) with siege machines, supply camps, towers, keeps and a massive castle in the middle of the map.
Instant mail (screw mailboxes, recieve it instantly!)
Dynamic Events
No Holy trinity
Underwater Combat
The ability to play on any server (but not World PvP)
Cross-server whispers
And much more
What LOTRO has that's better than GW2
