Creeps on Brandywine and all of LOTRO need to Wake Up-Steelmaw
It is utterly amazing to me how many of you from top to bottom whine and complain about turbine and complain about mpvp. You whine because they dont fix the lag wich is admittedly horrid. You whine because they dont add new content or really try to balance pvp. You whine because in essence it appears they have stopped putting money and development into this game. At the same time your complaining and getting angry and frustrated you miss the fact that a major part of this is your responsibility, your fault.
I have been on Brandy wine for a couple of years off and on. For months at a time i have interacted with the folks on creep side. You guys in general are jerks. Every time I turn around I see the new people coming to creep side on our server getting frustrated and leaving. Not one of the mighty leadership on creep side has tried to change that. The reason they get frustrated is a lot of the time no one steps up and is willing to show them the ropes. They ask a question in OOC and they get laughed at for five to ten before they get a straight answer. It is wonderful that we have some committed people that have made it past the growing pains of lowbie leveling on creep side. I give you props for all the hard work you have put into your characters. But in addition to that I would ask that each and every one of you put some time into helping the new folks make the same journey. Just because you did not have that help when you first came to the moors does not mean its ok for others to go through the same.
I believe we all have a responsibility to help folks learn creep side. Its good for the server in general its good for the game population and long term its good for the continued development of LOTRO. I have started a small tribe with that singular goal in mind. We will do our best to lend a helping hand. I would ask all of you to do the same if you have the time and opportunity. With that said, I wish you all the best and hope you enjoy your LOTRO experience as much as I do.
Re: Creeps on Brandywine and all of LOTRO need to Wake Up-Steelmaw
Lag makes it unplayable, try to hit a creep with an aoe and he's 20m away in the span of a blink. Legit complaint, rest is a pile though. Anyone with half a brain can tell the game is Imbalanced as anything and turbines response is grind more. LAWL.
Oh, and don't feel so entitled. It's noones responsibility to level/rank your toon for you, cry elsewhere because you're preaching to the choir.
Re: Creeps on Brandywine and all of LOTRO need to Wake Up-Steelmaw
Only like 3 people legitimately complain on the forums. Lets look at creepside easily 90% of all creeps buy there skills ex... with the revenue turbine makes right now from that, why would they have any incentive to make changes.

Creeps were meant to be underpowered. It's the whole incentive for the MP Store.

Re: Creeps on Brandywine and all of LOTRO need to Wake Up-Steelmaw
I am not going to respond to those that posted that merely play creep side to troll. You know who you are. For those who respond with jaded cynicism I would say this what good does it do you. No one here has denied the truth of what I am saying. Or the fact that on a small community like the moors mutual respect and courtesy make all the difference. The fact is the more new creeps that play and BUY their skills the more successful this game is and the more reason to add content. Turbine is indeed farming their player base when you run a f2p model that is how you earn an income from the product.
As for helping new players in general it is just the right thing to do. Creeps need not respond to what I have said outside of changing their actions on the moors. Or continuing to be the kind generous persons they already are. I did not point any fingers and i am not going to. I am not here to create an argument I made an observation about what i consider to be a problem. To point out that you have no right to complain if your not willing to help fix it on the player end. NUFF SAID.

I agree, but that being said, the forums is not the place to post it. The only people that really post here are the ones trying to start drama, or stroke internet ego with witty pictures and comments. It really is sad to see the state of the playerbase degrade so much. My advice is to go ahead with your plan and take action in the game to help people out. Lead by example. There are too many elitist, "hardcore" PvPers here that need to get over themselves. It's the same attitude that has been ruining this game for me for years. I'm glad to see another player with actual good intentions. So for that, thank you and good luck.

While I agree with the last part of this sentence, I'm confused how you think Turbine allows 'elitism' in this or any of its games.
Unless you're just flinging it around as an epithet.
Hitchens(r9 warg), Glasgow(R9 LM), Branywine server.

Think about this:
The big Tribes on Creepside (mine included) are considered 'elitist' because we rarely invite random noob rank 2s to our raids.
Is this because we're eliteist?
Or because we're trying to make a raid that can stay alive for more than 60 seconds, get a few kills, and actually try to do something out here.
Furthermore, it's second-nature to invite people from your Friends and Tribe Lists, before opening it up to Pugs.
And even then, if you had 1 slot for a pug, would you invite that Rank 9 BA, or that Rank 2 Warg?
Elitism can so easily be confused with discernment, common sense, efficiency, and tact.
And I believe that is what's happening here.
Re: Creeps on Brandywine and all of LOTRO need to Wake Up-Steelmaw
So many strong words being thrown about in this thread...
Abstractly look at this game, play both sides, understand the balance, and also understand the dynamic about how PvMP works.
Become more aware about how many gold tags there actually are in one fight.
How many minstrel rezzes are fired.
How many warleader rezzes are fired.
How many total Creeps died.
How many total Freeps died.
How much total Infamy was gained by the Craid.
How much total Renown was gained by the Fraid.
Become situationally aware of your surroundings, and about what's really going on out here...

You're Rank 6. You haven't seen a fraction of the woes some of us have seen.
Intermittent lag spikes? War leader bug for 5 years? Same map for 5 years? Consistent imbalance? Creepside being forced to Pay to Survive?

I don't see the blame as needing to be placed on any one of us players. I know for a fact (apart from the obvious children and trolls) that every one of us has been committed to the community, PvMP, and enjoying this game.
My Tribe and I have been supporting Creepside for an extremely long time, and we've been here through thick and thin.
If the blame is to be placed on ANY players, it should be placed on the demographic of players who consistently flip to the Flavour of the Month Easymode side, on a patch-by-patch basis.

For months, and you're Rank 6.
I mean no offense here, but if you really gave two squats about Creepside, you would either make friends, tough it out, make your own Tribe community, lead your own raids or packs, and dedicate your playtime here to HELPING Creepside, like the rest of us over here.

I see a lot of people leaving, on both sides, both old and new players.
They're leaving for the same reason we're 'whining' -- PvMP is broken and boring.
Freepside is overpopulated.
The system is broken.
Balance doesn't exists.
There's either too many Freeps out, or too few freeps out. Either way is boring.

The only thing Leadership can do out here, is to decide to make a raid, or to not make a raid.
And lately, I've seen a WHOLE LOT of needless raiding on Freepside...
You guys know who you are...

I remember when I started playing this game, I had three buddies of mine show me the ropes...
Yeah.
Me, Myself, and I.
Great fellows, indeed, I must say.

It sucks that some people make fun, but there's also a lot of helpful people on Creepside.
There's trolls, clowns, children, and helpful people everywhere -- not in an even distribution.

I can understand the plea for this. I know a lot of creeps who have mentored others. Sometimes all the newbling needs to do is ask.
I know that I give people chances and second chances all the time.
But It's HARD to waste a raid slot (1 of only 24) with an intern who doesn't know what he's doing, and try to train him, while you're fighting two separate Freep raids. It's hard and frustrating -- you can try it some time.

Creeps nowadays have help from:
*Experienced vets, in asking advice.
*Experienced raid leaders in looking for points.
*Experienced intel being thrown out in OOC, so they can learn the lingo and see what's going on.
*The Turbine store, for buying their skills.
I'm sorry sir, but the way I was raised in Real Life was: Nothing is free. No one will give you a free lunch. If you want something, you need to go out and grab it by the horns yourself.

People complain for valid reasons but stay because Lotro is their game.

Calling people jerks when you don't even know them is pretty immature. I hate to bust your bubble but people log-in to play the game to have fun. This isn't a job. It's a computer game. You can't expect people to sit at grams offering full-time services to greenies to show them around the map. There are dozens of new players every day and only a few dozen vets. Everyone in the community is willing to help, but there is a point where you just have to say: "Kill freeps, don't let them farm you, quest, buy your skills, get r5-6 to get into raids and dont quit until you get better and more powerful." I have almost enough infamy combined on creepside to be between Chieftain and High Chieftain and from my experience I've found it to be a very friendly (helpful), passionate (hate freeps) and driven (to rank) community.

This is why Voa = Voa. The truth is new people need help. They DONT NEED THEIR HANDS HELD. Give them advice and direction, traits, skill rotations then let them learn. To baby sit and tell them what to do will never improve them.

Sounds like socialism to me. This isn't a welfare server, go back to Russia.
