Hi Mates,
This is just a tool I created for my Cook, Timco. It is a very rough draft but has proven to be quite useful. You can choose to make many items and it will organize your shopping list and help you make things correctly. I first started using it to simply choose the many repasts I wanted to make, and to help make them quickly. Once I maxed guild, however, I began using it to make all kinds of different food items (I have 9 toons at various levels 14 - 75 and need LOTS of food, haha).
Anyway, I wrote out some brief instructions as I thought about sharing it with the LOTRO community. I'm afraid I don't write instructions well, so it assumes you know a few things about spreadsheets (using groups, outlines, p. It is also in Open Office format, which I am just learning. I don't know if it can work in Excel or any other format.
If you want to try it, I think I've set up a link on Google docs where you can download it. If you do try it, please let me know what you think. It only includes the recipes that I know on Timco (who is only level 15). So I do not yet have any high-ranking rep recipes. But i can add them later.
P.S. I'm not an expert spreadsheet maker so while it seems to work well for me, there might be easier ways to accomplish what I am going for. Anyone can feel free to upgrade/update or otherwise give me input. All I ask is that you cite this original project. Thanks!

Re: Timco's Table of Tastes (cook tool)
Fantastic! Thanks.
Just in case others have the problems I had: I couldn't get the lists in the top level to populate by following your suggestion of clicking on the "item" header. Instead, I had to right click on the cell below each item header (that said "empty") and choose "refresh".
There's actually a community-driven project that already does this. http://www.craftingcalc.com/
There are thousands of recipes in this game. It will be hard to manage it all by yourself.
That project is very nice, I've used that for awhile, but it is quite different. I wonder, did you download and try my tool?
I've always found there are benefits to having choices. I am not trying to minimize CC at all and appreciate the tremendous effort there. It is a lot more advanced in many ways that what I've done here. However, for certain play styles, there will be those who might like this tool's alternative.
For starters, my tool is a simple spreadsheet tool which can generate your list quickly. It is not a web site full of pull-down menus, check boxes, and page load times (or ads). All you do is fill out your menu and then generate your lists. Very quick!
Further, my tool will not only tell you what to make, but it will group each crafting tier together. This again makes it quick to craft as you can get all the apprentice tier done, then journeyman, etc. Perhaps minor, but still helpful.
At any rate, I don't plan on expanding this to anything besides cooking, hence it is called a 'cook tool'. Also, I can easily keep it maintained. There, of course, are not thousands of cooking recipes in this game. I have included most of them already. The remaining 35 are reputation rewards that I simply do not have yet. Still, easy to maintain.
Anyways, thanks for the input. Perhaps no one will use it but me. That's ok. I just thought I'd share my little project in the spirit of being a good citizen of the LOTRO community.

Hmm, I'm not sure why the 'item' header/cell doesn't work, although doing the right-click refresh works well. I am new to Open Office so I'm pretty unfamiliar with it. For me, I click the cell that says 'Item' and it refreshes for me each time. I'm using Open Office 3.2.1.
