Hello, new to pvmp here. Been enjoying it so far, but by biggest problem I see in the future is getting bored of fighting in the same locations night in and night out. I play on Riddermark, and most of the time (in my first week at least) the action is focused around TA and EC, sometimes TR - with TA owned by creeps most of the time. I like to solo and try to intercept people incoming to the raid fights, but that still only leaves me with a couple options. Are there any servers where the outposts change all the time so I can log on and be camping different areas any given night? thanks
Re: Server where outposts change hands frequently?
Hmm. Ofc i can't speak for every server out there. But with the few that i've experienced (with huge population differences), just got to spend time going around learning the high/low traffic areas. It is sad that the action on any server i've played is incredibly predictable depending on who owns what.
That'd be nice, though. interested in whether there's a server out there that is NOT predictable and has guilds/tribes that utilize the other areas on the map other than primarily stab rez circles and GV.
Re: Server where outposts change hands frequently?
OP, since you're new .. you should be learning quest spots.. map-in points .. grams is always a place you can attract some attention .. etc. There are plenty of areas that don't involve silly bridges to engage in fights

good to know. I found a map online showing where creeps can port, basically 3 spots around each outpost - but figured no one would be porting there unless there was raid action nearby. problem I have found with riddermark so far is action is usually in the same place, maybe I should just go roaming around more though
Re: Server where outposts change hands frequently?
With the exception of lugs our map on meneldor flips frequently. We tend to leave lugs for the creeps to reduce grams camping (kill tyrant without flipping).
Meneldor is a moderate size server that is currently rebuilding our pvp community. more info and play styles here

Cool, thanks! The nice thing about pvmp is you can test run a server's pvmp before paying money for a xfer by rolling a creep.
Re: Server where outposts change hands frequently?
Outposts change very frequently on Vanyar and as i remember Eldar; but that is regardless to what you are trying to find out. Very little fighting ever occurs in outposts unless raids intentionally occupy one to combat an opposing ranged heavy raid. The busy/choke points are the same on every server due to where the gy are and where the npcs are. Sorry but this is as eventful as pvp get in lotro.
