Imo creeps shouldn't vote for creeps, and freeps shouldn't vote for freeps.
We are all tend to vote for our tribies or friends cause we are used to play with them, we know each others, so we play better together, or simply because if you vote x, y will cry a river in kin chat.

Exactly like Ladrir is not talking to me and decided to change name and server because i didin't vote for him as best spider !!

Now, if you are a 100% creep or 100% freep it's very easy to vote : take the people you hate fight the most. Take the people you'll never 1V1 (works for the 99% of people that don't start a fight they can lose). Take the guy you never manage to kill, especially if he often manage to kill you !

For exemple i'm pretty sure no creeps will mention Masterkobe... Though masterkobe is probably the best champ of snowbourn : He kills lot of creeps, he manage to survive it very often, and more important, all the creeps (his ennemies) HATE him. Some will say he is using lot of p2w items. This is his choice. Thing to figure out is : he plays a game... a game has rules... he respect the rules... he manage to achieve the goal respecting the rules... so he play the game very well.


Though every creeps love albann or european, cause they know 20% of their total infamy was given by guys like this.. (No offence boys)

Suggesting names of people who no longer play (in some cases, haven't played at all this year) will not be added.

Suggesting names of multiple people will result in only the first viable name being added. You only get to suggest one person for each class.

Also, suggesting names of people you only assume deserve to be mentioned but not actually seen playing is counter-productive, though they will still be added. Try to actually think about levels of skill before jumping to the usual suspects (I know there's quite a few people who haven't been suggested for their class but are actually more skilled than the 'famous' suggestions).

I won't be voting, as my singular vote will not be enough to counteract the votes which are biased for and against many freeps/creeps for various reasons.

It is very funny to read people voting for themselves and their friends/family, and even totally ignoring players skill level because they are unhappy with their play style/actions.

Also only allowing a vote of 1 per class is restrictive. For example I could include a list of BlackArrow's that I wouldn't fight without back up due to them knowing exactly how to deal with Burglars. The list size would be about 4-5 and from the top of my head there would be 2 of those that would be joint 1st - It's also natural to not vote for those who have a upper hand over you as it's like rewarding your enemy, this, in my opinion will be one of the biggest factors effecting this thread from showing a true representation of 'The best players'

It is a nice sentiment though, to award to best players with some kind of recognition. If only there were some way of making it accurate (there isn't).

This isn't the voting stage. This is the suggestion stage. It doesn't matter how many people suggest one person, their names will still go into the same list as everyone else to be voted on at the end.

The restriction is to stop people suggesting anyone and everyone. The idea is to suggest the person you think is the best of their class, not for a handful of people you think are good.

'Best' is too vague, as mentioned by Etheldar. It is nice for good players to receive recognition, but this isn't the way to do it. It was hard enough for me to make this thread, If I made a thread with that title I think I'd throw up. Not a fan of freeps and creeps rubbing each other as it is and I can already tell that a Hall of Fame thread would just result in people repeating the same undeserved praise to the same overrated players... or descend into an even bigger flame-fest than this turned out to be. Just want some sort of thread for people to try to be objective (factual) rather than subjective (opinion) on people. Guess it's harder for some to cut themselves off from their emotions than others.

I understand that, but there would be no difference between that thread and this one as this is and will always be about reputation over being the 'best'

I'm not flaming, nor trolling. What I have to say is exactly to do with the topic.

I will not condone such a thread by voting/nominating. The great players of this server know their level of skill already.

... I think I'm going to have to re-evaluate things. Can't have people think I anything more than just a troll or they might actually start liking me. Then I have to actually deal with talking to them.

LotRO is a very simple game compared to others on the market. With skill, the peak of any character can be achieved and in many cases, especially in the moors there will be more than 1 player of a particular class operating at that peak.

I'm aware of the skill level of the more known burglars roaming in Ettenmoors and I could easily name 3 that operate at their maximum potential.

I'm sure someone who plays another class could say this too.

I said, i wouldn't, but ill put mine up.. all from what i see from going around, no mates/clubbers club/ooc friends, no bias at all to be honest, my top players, not influenced by others... no names mentioned.

- Burglar : Giovanna, one of the only ones i'll group with, and only other proper roamer.
- Captain : Ustat.
- Champion : Doro, by far.
- Guardian : Axe.
- Hunter : Doma.
- Loremaster : Joe.
- Minstrel : Sisriel.
- Rune-Keeper : Ariel, another soloer, mostly.
- Warden : Iyvan/Groth, close one..


Creeps :

- Blackarrow : Knall, when he doesnt spam brand. Love getting spam tracked by him.
- Defiler : Dragonz, even though he always heals my targets
- Reaver : Muzz, love 1v1'ing against him without freep or creep zergs.
- Stalker : KP, by a mile.
- Warleader : Noall i think.
- Weaver : Ichor, love 1v1'ing him when i see him roaming.

The best imo are Bloodtail and not only for how good he play. There are really many others really good players but actually no one impress me as much as bloodtail.

P.s.: Any suggestion in how to improve a freep raid is welcome. But not in this thread, better a PM.
P.s.2: I come from game like SC,WC3 and SC2 where there's a worldwide ranking system so i'm not used about this kind of election of the "best", it's intresting keep goin on mate!

Seems KP is back so I'm adding him to my wargies list, going back to my same vote post roi 2011 for wargies (bt,kp,ul)
I'm also adding SKilrien to minstrels, only cause he's been always great as a minstrel, not only on easymode times

- Burglar : hard to make a choice tbh there is plenty fo good burg but also plenty of easymode/noobs, but i think i'll give my vote to Athryl

- Champion : bubble, bubble and one more bubble ow and sprint... Addredoc gets my vote

- Hunter : hard to find one which roam solo now mostly pew pew from the back and going for easy targets, but i'd go for Valimon

Ain't that the truth. I think there's about 2 people in this entire thread that didn't immediately jump to their highest ranked friends and actually gave skilled players.
