Has any one received a sigil from a lootbox after U6?
I've opened 2boxes, 1 which had 10slug meats and the other which had 10 thistle fur hides or w/e they are called...
I'm currently sitting on 3boxes/3keys and I don't feel like wasting them until I've heard that sigils aren't completely bugged...
So.... share your bs stories about lootboxes here, or enlighten me with the fact that they are at least a few needles in the haystack.

The lootboxes are bugged. And unfortunately if you have 3 lootboxes right now, it won't matter if turbine fixes the lootbox drop tables or not. Your 3 lootboxes dropped during this time period when the lootboxes were bugged, so you will have a bad chance at getting good loot from those particular lootboxes whether they fix the drop tables or not, since the loot is predetermined. You may as well sell or destroy them.

Can you link to a thread that confirms the boxes are bugged?

No, but I'm 100% sure I read it on these forums straight from a dev that they don't even know how to fix the lootboxes and that freeps are still getting dye from them. It's also not intended that you can get a lootbox from a lootbox.

Yes.
Darn. I guess I'll just severely disappoint myself when I come home and open them I guess. Thanks for answers ;>
We've been looking into this and here is what we know to be true:
The loot tables and loot were not changed.
The number of boxes dropping was doubled (as were keys) for update 6. This is intentional.
There is a small chance that some boxes will give dyes, but we're not entirely sure why. They were removed, but appear to have been located in other places that also impact the loot in the boxes.
Here's what we think is happening:
Players are opening older boxes (those people hung on to or that were in the AH) taht did not get updated loot lists. This is working as intended. Anything you get out of those boxes will be based on the old loot lists because the boxes are defined when they drop, not when they are opened.
The increased number of boxes dropping has increased the number of dyes that are cropping up. More boxes translates into more possible dye drops. Definitely not working as intended. (though housing paints are intended to drop from boxes)
What we're doing:
Working to understand how the dyes and other oddball items are getting into the tables and remove them (again, or more depending on your point of view).
