Question for a game developer about the instance finder....
When you wrote this piece of game software, was your vision truly to have it grab two hunters and a minstrel as a group that should be able to complete any Isengard instances?
If so, could you pass on a hint how this is actually possible to accomplish?
Or is it not working as intended and is it possible to fix that?

Re: Question for a game developer about the instance finder....
I know im not your target, but i really do not understand what you are asking.
are you asking for the finder to setup two hunters and a minstrel, or are you complaining about that setup?
are you asking how to beat the isengard instances with a gorup you were thrown into, or are you asking how to manipulate the system for 2-dps and 1-healer, with no defense or support?
are you asking for the finder to only make groups that can beat an instance? i dont see this as possible because its subjective. im sure there are three hunters out there that could beat any 3man (im not one of them!), so your suggestion would hurt them (if im understanding you).
maybe there could be a way to say who YOU want to be grouped with... like another filter to pick the roles you want other to fill, not just the role you want to run. that seems to be the only fix, if im understanding you. however, this would only increase your wait time!

Re: Question for a game developer about the instance finder....
You should be able to use GLFF or some other mechanism to build any 3 person group configuration. Invoke Instance Finder to select the Instance.
People complained about not being able to complete Insengard 3 person instances unless they had a traditional group. Tank - Healer - DPS. The group matching function will not allow a two DPS - one healer configuration.
Perhaps a later version of the Instnce finder will allow people to be more specific as to the group composition. The more specific you make it. The less likely the Instance finder will be to build your group. Hence building the group outside of Instance Finder.
On Meneldor, not a lot of people use Instance Finder to build groups. They build a powerful and effective group via some other mechanism. Invoke Instance Finder to select the instance for the reward bonus . There is no benefit to letting Instance Finder build your group.
IMHO - Instance Finder is exactly what the name says. It rewards you for letting the server pick the Instance. It is not designed to social engineer the players into using Instance Finder to build groups. If group finding is the goal, Turbine would reward us for using Instance Finder to build our group.

Instance finder created such a group for me this morning.

Although it was supposed to have been changed for the Isengard 3 person instances only. I can't find anything confirming this change. That would mean all 3 person instances are using the Update 5 rule:
1) One healer role or one defense role.
2) The remaining two members are any role.
A minstrel queues up for an Insengard 3-man then 2 Hunters and a Minstrel is a valid group. You could also find yourself in a group with two Lore Masters.
I've always used Instance Finder with a full group. Or with the kernel - Tank and Healer for 3s and 6s. That would be my recommendation for you. Do like most everyone else, make a full group. Or make a group that only needs DPS members. Hunters are a dime a dozen - you get a pair of Champions as a bonus for every dozen Hunters you purchase.

It's tier two when it requires a healer and a tank. (Or tier three for skirmishes.)
The tier one versions of the three mans were supposed to have been downgraded sufficiently to require only a tank or a healer. The impression I get is that this works for a tank. Apparently, it may not work for a healer.
