Is there any word of a new class? I myself is bored with the classes, I have try all classes. I fell in love with my champ once again and working on a capt. I don't mind a new class for freeps and creeps...I do think maybe a goblin creep or a nazgul would be cool but as far as freeps goes, my mind is empty. I can't think of one.

That's it. For now free people classes cover all typical LOTR archetypes and something other would be very weird (like for instance Skin-changer, as is Beorn from Hobbit)...
Fix the ones that are broken, bugged and out-of-balance first.
I honestly don't see room for another class. What possible niche is there left to fill that would gel with the lore?
They already stretched it about as thin as possible with the RK. Any new class is just going to step on the toes of ones that already exist.

Devs have replied to many threads over the years stating they won't be making a new classes ever.

Celestrata - Surprise, it's not a glitch!

This. The ones we have need a fixin before a thought of another class comes around and unbalances the playing field even more.
They should just balance every class and maybe simply overhaul the ones that ''suck'' now, no reason to make new ones, especially with mounted combat being almost a new class.
I love the idea of a horse rider as a new class which is also in tone with the expansion. Imagine a pet horse (which you would get at level 20) like the pet of a LM but you could improve it like a Skirmish soldier. I do not suggest it seriously but it surely is a fun idea to toy with Although the new mounted combat feature will render this idea of a class completely useless
However I highly doubt there will be a new class coming along with the expansion. I wish but I dont think so.
A new class would greatly bother me. Ever since Moria, RKs and Wardens have always had top priority for some reason for any revisions, updates and tweaks. If an expansion comes out that screws up major parts of one the vanilla classes(unless it's a Minstrel or Guardian) it won't be touched until another expansion. If a Warden or RK got an unintentional nerf, they'll focus the better part of an update to fix it, bring it in line, or even revise it to make it better.
A new class would make things even worse, so definitely hope they don't make a new class. Turbine needs to fix the other classes and bring them in balance with each other.

Well its only normal that thy focus firstly on Wardens and Rks to fix thm cus thy are the only classes u need to buy and cant get for free (dont count all MP classes). But another class would only bring more disbalance to game and probably more away from Middle-earth lore like th did with RK.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the case. Link? While they may have said that they are not currently working on a new class, I've never seen anything where they ruled it out completely.
Wish that I were. If you don't believe me look back into dev dairies and updates. You will see more updates and fixes more often and in a faster time frame than any other class. There's still plenty of original class material broken or unbalanced that hasn't been touched since Vanilla. I'm not suggesting devs stop paying attention to balancing RKs and Wardens but merely stating they should focus as much attention to the other classes as what is being give to Wardens and RKs. I care a whole lot more about class balance for RoR than I do getting horse levels and being able to do mounted combat in a limited region that has no effect before or after Rohan.

I understand f2p players have to purchase them, but I and many others bought the Moria expansion, as well as RoI, and also pay for microtransactions every now and then. I also bought the original game when it came out so my money should mean as much as their money.
Agreed. Now that Warner Bros owns Turbine we might always see a Harry Potter expansion with the new class "angsty teen wizard". Fits in lore wise about as much as the RK anyways. = P

This definitely explains Champions. Yep, major update expanding their roles and lots of dev time before and after fine-tuning the update for them. Darn those premium classes getting attention before the plain vanilla Wardens... Wait a minute!

I past forums some players have insisted that the problem with adding new classes would be that they would step on the toes of new ones as they would occupy roles as tanks, debuffers, healers, etc or whats more as a combination of both such as has become the RK.
Personally this would not be so much a problem so long as it brings variety, the true problem would be creating new classes in accordance to the classes and maybe even races found in the books.
I think some interesting choices would be
Sailor- though Im skeptical of how useful he would be lest they added sailing features and had plenty of quests involving naval combat. still they could be the one class with the capacity of diving and completing quests underwater.
Knight - stepping on the toes of champs and wardens but it might be an interesting feature
ENT- I know its far fetched, and likely not accurate with the books to have an ent roaming around in bree getting quests, but it would make an interesting race if it were ever possible. or they could add this race as part of MONSTER PLAY ( MONSTERS IN ALLIANCE WITH PEOPLE OF MIDDLE EARTH)
EAGLE- also far fetched and unlikely possible but still it could MONSTER PLAY ( MONSTERS IN ALLIANCE WITH PEOPLE OF MIDDLE EARTH)
Shape shifter- someone allready mentioned this, and though there are only 3 known wizards in middle earth (excluding the elves) we do have the Loremaster and the RK, so why not a shapeshifter? ( though I know you'll tell me why).
engineer- not so much a class as a craft type. Middle earth has siege weapons of various sorts, and likely ( as in the middle ages) simple mechanized weapondry of various sorts not discarding simple mechanized tools. there could be some people specialized in the development of these simple but important tools and weapons.

I think it is much more likely that we will see a console MMO based on the Harry Potter IP from Turbine.
Five years is a long time to go without releasing a new game.
Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.

I can't stop laughing at the image of an Ent doing the quick post runs in the shire or carrying pies.
I would love to see a Horse Lord class, that would be cool.
Also I think a Ranger class would be cool. Nothing against Hunters but a class that could range, stealth, and sword and board it would be cool. Although I think Warden's do that to a lesser extent.
Well think why would they update RKs and Wardens. Warden is a tank/dps and mostly use for corruption removal, I only know one warden that can hold my aggro on my hunter and champ --_-- so I was happy when they receive an update. As for RKs, rk can't heal 3man Isengard instance by themselves, you will need a mini, how would you feel about people always picking a mini if you are a healing traited rk o.o
I think a horse rider, or horse ranger maybe? Specially with the mounted combat coming soon o.o

Haven't you heard? The new class for RoR will be the Cleric.
Thats not what I heard.....
I heard.... they are adding a class with only 1 arm... but they can equip two-handed weapons in 1 hand while wearing a shield...
Wait... I just heard back from my sources (rice crispies)..... I can't reveal too much.. but I will say that the next new class will be able to equip a dagger as a two-handed weapon.
Unless Turbine decide to create new game play mechanic for a certain new classes I doubt we will see it coming someday, all the classes cover multiple roles and I can only see these roles going deeper into these specialties..
Maybe at some point they will add somekind of prestige or epic classes to the existing classes but I really doubt seeing that..
If it isn't about FlameThrower, Grenade and Rocket Launcher, you're playing the wrong classes, race and game..
As for RKs, rk can't heal 3man Isengard instance by themselves, you will need a mini, how would you feel about people always picking a mini if you are a healing traited rk o.o
I told myself don't bother, I tried to resist but I couldn't ...

Epic trolling or fascinating levels of ineptitude?

Civ II rules after all these years......
A new creep class? Certainly. A new freep class? Debatable.
The problem that occured back in Shadows of Angmar was the lack of multiple classes for each role (Example: There was only 1 major tank class, aka, the Guardian) and so with Mines of Moria, they introduced another tank and healing class. This solved that problem of having too few tanks or healers and thus Turbine did not have the need to create any more classes. We already have several dps classes, healing classes, tank classes, CC classes and buff classes.
What about multi-classing? that would be, I believe, a well received addition to the game and by allowing classes to learn skills from another class that would be sort of like creating a new class.
YEAH! And she walks around naked a lot. That would be ghe classes secret skill: to see her boobies!!!
lol hmmm I can see it now: Flash mobs to death
But this gives me an idea. Why not a savage as a class? Although I guess character creation would need a lot of tweaks to it so I guess thats out the window. After all a savage would not suit well with the templates of already existing Man facial characteristics... Still sometimes when I make rounds in Enedwaith and so on I wish I could play one of those characters. Could be a nice idea for Ettenmoors though.
I am quite bored with this game. I play all classes (have since SoA). I have even leveled some classes to cap twice. A new class (freep or creep) would be a nice change and get me to play this game more.
