Any of you champs our there rocking some/all of the new Audacity pieces in the moors? Thoughts?
I'm hesitant to go with them unless someone can convince me otherwise. Seems like we take too big of a hit in might ... and since I'm still missing some solid might pieces; don't have the draigoch cloak yet, don't have skirm/raid jewelry .. I'm worried I'll be sacrificing a lot of dmg.
Turbine gives everyone no choice but TO get the armor. Going out in the moors without any amount of audacity is just plain dumb :/
I've got all 6 pieces/7 audacity and the difference is very noticeable, especially in small grouping fights. If you get focused by a raid, you are still going to die however.
As much as I am not a fan of that system, the armor is not HORRIBLE. It certainly could be better but oh well. With the armor im running 1700 almost 1800 might, and 22k phys mastery with 8.4k morale and over 6k crit (cant remember the actual number, maybe 6200-6300?). Make sure you take the time to run RoF and get the upgraded limlight jewelry with the egg sacs from that instance, try and get your draigoch cloak, and you are pretty much set.
Well, no matter of how much damage you deal, there's the fundamental issue of having to be alive in order to deal it. A dead champ deals zero dps. A full might build might perhaps get you to the point where you can one-shot r0 freavers on a remorseless crit, but you will run into problems when fighting higher ranked creeps due to mitigations and crit defence. I'm not completely sure however, if audacity is helping that much wit this. Before U6 it was quite possible to keep 15-1600 might, while still having mitigations enough to survive a longer fight. With the new sets I'm down to ~1200 might with 5 in audacity, and it works pretty ok. In fact, I don't notice that much of a difference.
Another aspect of audacity, is the reduced power cost and CC duration, which you don't get from any of the PvE-sets. These are abilities which comes in handy, in particular since spiders and wargs are the new 'flavour-of-the-week'.
Aside from that, just this week I switched from the old PvMP set to 5 pieces of Audacity+ the old helm. I really couldn't justify the move from Aud 1 to anything earlier than 6.
I'm running around 1700 might and 7.2k morale and I feel like I still hit pretty hard (I dual wield so no HUGE numbers for me I prefer to apply smooth steady pain). I run with a LOT of mitigation virtues and near full red spec.
Most of all I miss the free Ferocious strikes I was getting OFTEN from the old set. Losing that has changed up my attack rotation a ton and honestly I feel kinda gimped without it. Time will tell...
I'm honestly not sure if I'll bother with the helm.

you and I both regarding that 1st ager (my only hope was those silly boxes and now they're screwed up
How about the old pvmp helm with the proc? Still worth it?
That's what I'm still using...and given that the audacity gear is actually an increase to crit over the old stuff the helm has become more usefull.
I also don't like open faced helms, so I'm unlikely to gear up with the Aud helm anytime soon.

And speaking of looks I HATE how the new gear is virtually undyable. They need to allow us to dye the gold portion not the minor red portion of the gear. Terrible.

Shoulders/boots of resilient for 2.1k tactical mits, rest in unyielding rage. Keep both pairs of boots on a quickslot just in case you need to swap it for the healing debuff on remorseless.
And you can still put a relic that grants 10% chance per brutal to give a free ferocious on your weapon/rune for a 20% chance. Best of both worlds.

posting on a banned account. GET AT ME JESUS, WHAT NOW?!
- Resilient Warrior legs iirc give 102 might, 102 vit. Good stats on any piece.
- I'm considering a 2-2-2 build to get the first set piece on each, as well a s stack Audacity.
- I still like some of the Threkappi pieces (helm comes to mind)...sorry it doesn't have audacity.
Only a few of the Audacity pieces fit well in PVE armour builds, unless as some have mentioned, might is built into your jewelry/cloak.

When i first looked into the sets the set bonusses didnt look very nice at all, If they would keep the old set bonusses from the old set and add the audicity it would be nice , very nice IMO. I dont get it btw that they make a new stat en dont set it on the old PVP armor ?
Only one set bonus looks like its really usefull and thats the hamstring duration. The battle frenzy is to long cooldown for such a short buff, got pots and jewelry for those bracing attack chance to remove it.

If you legacy it or get it on a first age you've basically got 10% extra melee defence for 10s every 40s, which my math wizards tell me is 25% of the time.

I was considering doing exactly this, thanks for the confirmation of my brain doodling
how long do you're fights last? if it was Tactical it might be more useable. and on a hit of 1k its like 100 points less damage ? Wow huge indeed.
Yeah, creeps are gonna be hitting for that much all the time. Because they're creeps, heavy hitters. Either way it adds up, hamstring duration of over 30s is completely pointless, the skills CD is like 3 seconds.

I've thought a LOT about those relics...I'm missing the free ferocious from the old set REALLY bad. I just can't justify the losses to get that 20% though.
Aud has definitely thrown a wrench in my rotation and in my playstyle...I just want to be dps...part of me wishes we had a Audacity penetration set as an option. Where instead of granting audacity to us it reduced our opponents effective audacity. I'd grab that in a second.

Then stack finesse; I can get 19.5% pretty easily and then the difference between brutal and ferocious is basically nil anyways.
For 1v1's specifically I'd say go tank set, it's still high in might and the cures and defence bonuses are indispensable.
Actually for general soloing go 5 tank set, the other bonuses don't even come close to being on the same level of usefulness. Group/raids do 5fervour or 4fervour/2aoe (depending on whether creeps are support heavy.)
I guess the trend goes to 4 resilient + Gauntlents & Breast from the red-line set. At least that's what most Audacity7 Champs use on Vanyar.
Yeah tact.mit. as bonus would be better, however as a champ, you always force creeps into melee anyways, so it's not thaaat bad, Especially when you consider the proliferation of the warg population.
I use 2/2/2 and think its quite lovely. I run 104% outgoing dmg 51% tactical mits and dont mind not having the longer hamstring duration at all. I do however think the -25% heal debuff would come in handy I simply wasnt willing to sacrifice anymore damage for it. I would consider getting the 5 peice tank suit for that handy dandy removal of poisons/disease/wounds but i dont really like the fact its only 50% chance and then only if bracing hits.

All Bonuses are useless... I do 4 fervour/2resilent. A lot of might and tactical mitigation plus hamstring duration because 50% of my hamstring misses or the monster evades/parry...
i got the leggings and the shoulders of the resilent warrior..
