Rangers of the West will be hosting a Sparring Tournament this Tuesday April 3rd at 730 cst. The location will be in West Bree up the hill behind the stable master at the Westview Estate. This is open to all levels and classes. Prizes will be given to the winners and for participation. Announcements in game will go out on Tuesday closer to the event for signing up.
I'll come watch but I don't think my low-level minstrel would fare all that well due to:
E. Healing traited =)
F. Low-level Minstrel
Need I say more .
I am actually not subscribed atm but thinking about pulling the trigger and buying Isengard or a VIP subscription (if VIP subscription lets you access Isengard) and was a bit curious how the demand/need for reasonably experienced minstrels is on Gladden atm? I quit last summer just b/c I was finding it semi-hard to find parties and was multi-boxing with another mmorpg that has a LFG system for finding parties real fast. I do know about glff before anyone asks
Well, we completed this event, but they are a lot of fun for all-spontaneous mayhem breaking out all around is the way I usually describe it. Keep an eye out for our next event, and we'll be happy to have you there as either participant or spectator.
As to your questions, Isengard is an expansion, so everyone has to buy it, even VIP. You might consider getting the expansion package that includes all the expansions, and some useful quest packs. isengard.lotro.com to see if your wallet will stretch that far.
Frankly, I'm expecting to let my subscription lapse. The things that are unlocked mean doing a brief vip subs makes sense, but the value of my VIP status is getting minimized when they keep charging for every darn improvement in the game like the barter wallet.
Ahem. Sorry, guess I needed a little rant this morning.
As for minstrels, yes, they are very much in demand at pretty much every level. I had to ignore several requests for healing help because I was already engaged in something or about to be.
Welcome back, and hopefully we'll see you around in Middle Earth.
