Thread: Guards Of Middle Earth now recruiting!!

The Guards of middle earth kinship have recently undergone a change of leadership (today) and we are seeking new members and making severe changes to freshen what is an admittedly barren kinship. I want the kinship to become one of the best, and we require fresh blood to do so.

The kinship is lvl 10 and we have a kinship house. We are primary a leveling/questing kinship but should we recruit new members we will incorporate kin only events chosen by popular vote (Dualling Tournaments, Horse Races (Thorins hall - Rivendell etc), Skirmishes and, when we get enough at the appropriate level, End game content. There will of course be a prize of either gold or a crafted item for 1st 2nd and 3rd place) I am willing to listen to any other ideas other members of the kin have for future events.

Nice post, although 'barren' might be a little off-putting for some as a sales pitch. 'Gold' on the other hand....

Can you define 'the best' a little further? What is your measurement of 'best'? Any kinship role models?

By barren i meant the while there are a number of members (72 i think) only a small percentage are regularly active. I only joined yesterday and was suddenly made leader in the hopes that I can liven it up.

By best i mean a kinship that inviting to new people/ideas, fun, regularly active and holds regular events, a few kinships that come to mind are legacy of heroes, Redux and Special Forces Of Middle Earth (I admit i am a little bias regarding the last one as i was a member of it before this kinship). I have already added 3 new members today and would like to continue to gain more no matter the race or class. I believe the way forward for the kin is to recruit, after all a kin is only as good as its members.

Shall I make a offer to you? Your kin seem a nice one, so instead of trying to form a kin from scratch I propose you to join us: "Bane of the Fallen Night". We already have a number of 75ers (20 chars and many others in the 65-74 level).

As you we are expanding slowly and if you join us you'll see that us are a nice number of people more interested in having fun than into max-min.
