I feel like we need to revive our PvP a little on Dwarrowdelf, and what better way to have great competition than to start up a tournament?
Official Tournament Information
Date: Unknown as of right now. I'll decide depending on how many people we get, and what time will be convenient for everyone.
Setting (Where the fights will be held): Right now I'm considering CM or the Auroch Plain (field below TA on the map) for potential spots. But I am open to suggestions!
To avoid some confusion, I'll list the rules, then how the competition will be run, and then finally how to enter the contest.
Rules:
1. No store bought or in-game bought buffs will be allowed for either side.. This means no delving pots, DP buffs, store buffs, scholar made potions, scrolls, etc. The only buffs that are allowed are skills that are from a players class/race/gear.
2. No Morale potions will be allowed in the fights for either freeps or creeps. Power potions are acceptable, as some fights may drag on and classes with low power pools will need them. Other pots such as stun, fear, root, etc. are acceptable, but NO brands.
3. The group that enters the competition may contain no more than 3 people, of any class. People who wish to duo may enter this competition, but the challenge will be great.
4. Absolutely NO buffs from players not in a fellowship with the competitors. (Example: A Captain can only buff someone who is in his group that is about to fight, not someone in another group)
5. In-combat rezzes WILL be allowed by both sides, to create more drama and tactics.
6. When two groups are fighting each other NO ONE may come within 15 meters of the fight at any given time. And no one may interfere by attacking one party, or healing the other.
7. If someone is caught trying to cheat for one side they are instantly fair game and may be ganked by anyone with no reproach. If someone attempts to defend the cheater they are also fair game and can be treated equally.
8. If someone cheats for a group, but it is not clear the the group itself did the cheating, but some outside source, there will be a rematch. (Except in the event of a group being nearly defeated when the cheating occurred. In that case whichever side was about to win will be awarded victory and will advance)
9. If a group is found cheating they will be instantly disqualified and their lives are forfeit.
10. Running is NOT allowed. All fights will be to the death. HIPS and other escape skills may be used, as long as the user returns to the fight shortly thereafter.
11. Loremasters may only apply their Sign of Righteousness to themselves. (Let's face it, having a group of 3 freeps who couldn't be stunned for a minute and a half versus 3 creeps wouldn't be very sporting)
12. In order to keep groups from attacking each other early, I will stand in between both groups before the fight begins. When all members from both sides have bowed to me, will have a short countdown then sprint off the field of battle. After I sprint off, the battle can begin.
Those are all the rules that I've been able to come up with so far, but additional rules may be added if the necessity of them is brought to my attention.
How the Competition Will be Run:
The competition will work with a regular bracket system which will be assembled by myself after all entries are obtained.
Each match will have a set date and time for the players to be there. If a group does not show within 5 minutes after the set time, then it will default and the other side will win automatically.
If part of a group shows, but one person is missing, then the group with 2 will be allowed to start the fight without the 3rd person, but that 3rd person will be disqualified from the rest of the competition and the 2 people will have to go the rest of the competition without him.
I would like to have an award for the 1st place and Runner-up teams in this competition, but currently I only have a few items of any value. Donations from both sides would be much appreciated!
How to Enter the Competition:
To enter, first compile a group of people (Remember, no more than 3) to enter with you, then you may either sign up on this topic, send me a PM, or send me a message in game.
Messages in game can be sent to either of my creeps: Silhoutte and Andrag
Or you may send them in the mail to my freep: Andared
If you have any questions/suggestions or would like to know more about this contest, feel free to ask them here! I would like for this to be a very big event so please notify your friends and spread the word to all your kinmates/tribemates!
As always, good luck on the battlefield everyone, and happy hunting for all!
(Note: I apologize for any typos or poor phrasing that may be found throughout this post, as it was very late when it was written, and sleep came calling! )

I assume auroch plains is gta or nearby. Or the one south of DG is also not bad
So beside CM or "Auroch Plains" as you suggested, I'd like to see the open field nearby Plains OP as another possible location, Poor Grimwood or Good lugz map point.
Just my humble opinion.
And oh, if you need prizes for creepside, I have 5 CG symbols i got from a lootbox lol
Banoon LM
Here WL (my r5 ranking blow is a DG quest muahahaha)

I was referring to GTA, yeah. But the other open field is also an option. When choosing sites I was trying to figure out what sites would work best in terms of people getting back from the rez.
We'd probably need to flip lugz red and TR blue before doing this competition, but that wouldn't be too difficult.

I'm curious as to how this could work, since the factions can't fight against their own side beyond 1v1 spars (as lore appropriate as that may be Creep-side, haha). I'm thinking a round robin format might be better suited. Round robin would also mean you don't have to do a "seeding," which would be either be a complicated or random process.
Will players be allowed to be on a Creep-side AND Freep-side team? If so, what happens if they are supposed to fight one another? This could come up in any tournament format, I suppose. (The simplest fix is probably to only allow each person to join one team; those participating Creep-side cannot also participate Freep-side, and vice versa.)

Very good point. I'm not exactly sure on how a round robin tournament is actually run (I may look it up later on this week), but I had also been wondering about what I would do if this problem arose.
One solution would be to have the two teams fight at the same time, and whichever one finished faster, there side got to go in. Meaning you aren't only fighting freeps/creeps, you're also racing against people of the same side.
But, I can see some issues of fairness arising from that. I'll look further into it, but hopefully things will resolve themselves without too much difficulty.
Right now though I need people to get together groups and either PM me or notify on this topic so I can begin preparations and try to find a starting date for this!
I've had several people contact me both in game and on the forums saying they'd be interested in joining, but nobody has sent me any details on which group is entering.
Announcement:
If you and any others are planning on joining this, please form your group and send me the information as quickly as possible so that I can begin scheduling the fights and finding times which will suit everyone.
