Thread: is there a gore effect?

Iv been playing lotro for over a year now and iv fallen in love but my only complaint is can i get gore? its by far the best game ever but if it had the ability to enable gore it would nock the socks off any other game out there, and i know its a more family orientated game but cant they just set the defalt for minimal or no gore but allow the option?

no, you can't. If you want a bloody, gory game may I suggest you look elsewhere?

There is an option to turn on blood effects. I think it's in Combat Options but it's not a very pronounced effect. If you want hard-core gore, this ain't it.

To be precise, the option is called "Enable Blood Effects", and it is found on the "UI Settings" panel, about halfway down the scroll list.
