    Choosing servers

I have a few toons on different servers but I have noticed that it is often quite empty when I am online. I was thinking that it might have to do with me living in Europe, and having a different time zone. My time zone is GMT +1. What would be a good server for me if I want to meet people when I play?

I feel much the same way, but I'm in NA, and I live an earlier schedule than most. I'm usually up by 4 am EST, and there's rarely anyone on doing the content I need to do. I'd love to raid and such, but there's no way I can stay up "late" and raid with others. I know we're never going to get server statistics, but can we get some feedback about login activity and when the busy times are?

    Please, oh please, oh please!

    Re: Choosing servers

I know about servers being slow. Alot of them have peak times where there is enough action to get by. I also made some toons on different servers to get a feel of activity levels at the times I am normally online. When logging on a server try to join channel GLFF on NA servers and Globallff on Euro ones. The command to join a channel is /joinchannel GLFF

This doesnt include everyone online of course, only those that have joined that channel, but they are intended to cross over to all areas and find fellows to group with. I landed on Brandywine as it is a very busy server at any time I log on. The lower end of people being in GLFF is very close to same on slower servers at thier busiest time. I chose BW because I was moving some toons off a NA server and couldnt transfer to Euro ones. Euro servers that I found to be very busy were Eldar and Snowbourne. Brandywine also seems to have people from all over the globe, some are going to bed as I am waking up. Once you pick a server join a kinship that is active and dont be scared to try a different one if it isnt working out. Most kins will be very understandable of you trying to find the right fit for your schedule. And if they arent then it isnt the right one for you anyhow.

15 of the servers of primarily US so will have heaviest loads between 6 pm and 2 am eastern times.

Elendilmir is heavily Australian/Oceanic players so they are about 8 hours off of US East Coast.

The old European servers include Eldar, Evernight, Gilrain, Laurelin, Snowbourn, Withywindle, and all those marked as [DE] and [FR] to indicate that the primary languages spoke on these servers are German and French,

Other than that it is hard to say when the prime time is for a server as it will vary a bit.

You might want to give these guys a try: http://lux-hdro.de/hdro-live.php
They've been tracking log-ons for quite some time now.

And, yes, it's accurate and legitimate. They've explained how it's done in a forum at some point.
