keep in iind though, that the Max Stat recorded are not all from the same character at the same time. it's totally impossible for a hunter to have 2559 agility AND 1489 Will at the same time. and for that matter, why would any hunter EVER use that much will?

^This just what I wanted to say, I was quite amazed to see the highest on LMs before realizing this.

Also, does anyone know for certain if the data being pulled from the lotro api includes temporary buffs on your character at log off time? From my tests, it does not appear to, but I'm not 100% on that.
Temporary buffs at log off are shown in my.lotro. My champion has about 6.7k morale unbuffed, but in your tool it says 7.1k which is the value I have with a +5 hope token.
Since the only way to view results at a later date after having entered your character is by re-submitting your character again (at least in appearance), I just wanted to check that the same toon won't be added to the database skewing results if the same toon was entered 20 times.
Also what happens if someone enters their character when they first hit 75, then a few weeks later wants to check again after they've geared up a bunch? Is a character limited to being entered only a single time? Once per X period of time? Is it always the latest data entered?
I ask all this because I see some rather large spikes in maxes of some stats making me think some people might be purposely setting up a non usable build just to get the highest on one or more of the graphs.

Its not working for me in IE8, and as I'm not interested in changing my browser or updating my OS just for this tool, I'm afraid I wont be using it...
It'd be nice if you could get it more widely compatible, especially if it relies on users entering their characters? I imagine a lot of players, like me, use IE with Win XP still, which means IE8
Great job, though it doesn't appear to be updating to my stats. As one of my alts is currently a low level, its stats are constantly changing, with new armour and stuff, and it just doesn't seem to be updating. Any reason this is happening? anything i should/can do?
thanks
One suggestion, if I may. In addition to average and maximum seen, add 3rd quartile. This would give me a good idea of goals to shoot for. For example, on my hunter I have the feeling that when I am looking at the maximum morale, I am seeing someone who stacks that stat at the expense of all else. If I saw the 3rd quartile, that could give me a realistic goal to shoot for while not at the expense of other stats.
Either way, very cool and easy to use that allows me to see what numbers to shoot for.

As suggested, 3rd quartile and/or a mode and median breakdown may be more informative?
Curious about how much the result is affected by 'averaging' (for example) minstrels' stats in full DPS and minstrels' stats in full heal build, especially for lower level players - many have very different builds for each role.
Just being able to compare my character with so many others is quite useful.
I have a suggestion for improvement. Add the P25 and P75 (percentiles) values as well. This gives the user more of a bearing on in which quartile they are with their stats.
You could go as far as presenting the data in distribution graphs instead of bars. I suspect your dataset is large enough to allow this. A hybrid approach would be a bar for each 5% population (totalling 20 bars, with one colored differently to show where 'you' are).
Nice to see my main on the top bit of the listings in every part of it

This. Although it shows me that my gut feeling of having way to low will and fate (on a champ) was completely wrong and I need to look for new equipment.
i just want to say that this is a great tool for maintaining a balanced build. Lately however i have noticed that it is not updating as regularly? the statistics it shows for my characters are about a week old. other kin members have noticed the same thing. we both use firefox as out web browser. Does anyone have any ideas to have the site show our stats correctly?

I think it's based on mylotro and if so, that is why its not updating. Mylotro usually has a bit of a delay and is just quirky in general.

thanks! I hadn't thought of that, the mylotro information does match what is presented in the stat checker. Sure is taking mylotro a long enough time to update...
I'm just getting two PHP errors and a SQL error message.
Edit - ok nevermind. It's pulling info from mylotro I'm guessing? The errors only happen if I put in a fake name (I thought it was going to ask me to input stats).

I like this stat checker; checked out my hunter, and found out she's a little below average for everything. I have to start working to get her stats in top shape more I guess. :P

You list my Champ when I run him as Level 32 and he dinged 33 yesterday morning so the infor you are pulling from does not update as frequently as folks might expect. Might need a disclaimer on that somewhere on the site.
It would make the tool more helpful for new/newish folks if the stats shown were relevant only or ordered by relevance to the class. For example Jadinia my Mini has no need for might a newbie might find that being listed first an indication they need to start stacking might not realizing you are just listing all the main stats for everyone without regard to class.
Man, my Guard is seriously lagging behind the average. I know I'm not elitely geared or anything, but I didn't expect my VIT to be 450+ below the average for a guard. Even if I deck out in a full set of Great River gear I don't know if I'll get up to par. Am I missing something?

GR gear's pretty average compared to Draigoch and Orthanc gear. You want to shoot for that.
Then, you need your empowered limlight stuff (pocket, ear, ring), and the rarer roots of fangorn jewellry.
Was interesting to see that my first toons in the game are still somewhat behind the curve for their class while my more recent toons are pretty universally ahead of the curve for their class. To me, that says first that I'm learning something about how to get the most out of this game and second, that early decisions and paths for my toons may have lasting effects.
Saving this link so I can keep it near at hand. Passing it on to my kin. Wish I could do more to promote your work. Definitely agree that this tool should be mentioned in every class forum.
