Okay Okay I know it's not a 'valid' complaint although anyone that was here when LOTRO launched knows what I'm talking about. The super fast swimming that Burglar's could do if they were stealthed where they just streaked across the water. Ah the good ole days....Anyone else feeling nostalgic?
Actually I just felt the need to post a Frivolous complaint about the Burglar class after reading several complaints about Burgs on the Forums. I have 9 toons (2 of which are Burglar crafting alts) and I was really dreading leveling them up to 75 after having read so many negative posts about the changes to Burglars. There are some that are saying they are overpowered but just as many complaining about them. I decided to just go ahead and start playing one of them again and make up my own mind. I have to say - I was pleasantly surprised. I play solo the majority of the time and didn't have a bit of trouble in the new zone. I'm wearing poopy crafted armor (level 65ish) and it didn't seem to slow me down much. (Can you say 'poopy' on the forums? :-) ) Still easy to stealth past mobs and get to exactly the one I need. I think I'm doing the right amount of damage so that was good. HIPS is working to get me out of jams etc. The only thing I had trouble with was one of the Galtrev repeatables - I forget the name right now but it was the one where the mobs are trying to torch the auction hall. I just couldn't keep up. But it was no big deal considering I didn't really need to do that quest anyway. So, now my first Burglar is level 75 and I'm working on finishing off her Theodred's Riders Reputation and I can honestly say that my only complaint about this class is the one listed above. :-p

I don't remember that particular bug as I didn't spend much time playing the game at launch.
I do remember this though!
Just before the release of Mirkwood we had a server-wide event starting in Lothlorien where at least 2-300 ppl participated. As we all started to swim across the river to Mirkwood I had so much lag that my horse didn't dismount as I kept spamming my space-bar. I almost got to the other side of the river when I realized ppl were re-grouping back at the shore I just left and I had to go back again. Good times
About the burglar class in general: for pve there's absolutely nothing weak about it. Medium armour makes it a bit squishy at times but the dps-potential is pretty huge still.
The burglar forums, however, is blessed with one of the most amazing trolls who will complain over just about anything. We've tried to reason with him but he refuses to accept that the burglar isn't able to an on-lvl raid instance, and it seems he won't stop complaining till the day he can
In other words just ignore whatever ifreborn1 says...

I've had a similar thing happen to me when entering my house. Except I dismount and then get stuck inside my horse for a few moments. It looks very peculiar when it happens.

News just in: ALL LOTRO Mounts are actually a pair of d0rfs in a pantomime horse costume[1]. You just broke their secret.
I remember the speedy swim, it made Evendim a far nicer place. Or at least I think it was still around when Evendim was released, it's been so long now that I don't remember any more.

Seems like it was still around for a bit when Evendim was released. But If I remember correctly, they fixed it shortly after that. :-)
Sure do remember stealth swimspeed. Was a lot of fun. Have an old screenie I kept when I hit 666 kbs and was swimming from HH to OC side at the time...stealthed of course.
