Any well geared champ with 1/2 a brain will absolutely destroy a mini.
Well then that means Champions are the true Heroes of Middle Earth
My name is Purebloodnakh, Chieftain of Saruman's Armies of the North, General of the Warg Legions, loyal servant to the true Lord, Sauron. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.
I fought a well geared champ this past week and was dead in about 6 seconds.
The fight went as follows, Piercing Cry resisted, half my life was gone, Chord of Salvation heal, heal pot and was about to raise bubble and was already dead. lol
Our heals against a well geared champ is like a band-aid on a gushing wound.

i guess if i use morale pots in a spar against a champ i might win, ill try that out and see what happens
Ssupermann: I hate minis, they have satellite lazers
Those champs must have some considerably low mitigation's and morale then :P By champ with morale stuff on is at around 8.5K morale with enough mitigation's that if all those crit I'd still probs get away with 3-4K morale but yeah then you add minstrel other skills and your a hmm ...
1k - 1,5k crit on Minor ballad
2k crit on Piercing cry
2,3k crit on call of orome
It was very lucky, as i got huge crits on each hit.. shouldnt happend tho : )
Most of the time when sparring champs i end up dead if i dont get in a piercing cry stun even tho i have 8,3k morale unbuffed. (this is when sparring champs fully dps geared with fa etc.. )
another thread? I thought we had enough of these...
so... just about every class claims to be able to obliterate a mini.... but the mini is still OP? I realize that everyone that hates minis claims to have 9 level 75 minis that are all experts in their field... but perhaps its time to realize that people claiming that minis can crit 9k DPS attacks while healing for 8k at the exact same time... have an agenda??? Especially when we see the other side of the same people's ego claiming they can take down minis with ease.

Minstrels arent OP against freep dps. Any freep class can outdps minstrel heals in WS while no creep class can do the same.
First... who was talking about creeps? The thread title is Spars... not moors combat. Spars are freep vs. freep or creep vs. creep.
Second, This is your opinion, of course. I see minis die on a consitant basis in the moors. (and since this topic keeps reocurring repeatedly... yes, 1v1, no the minis aren't fail... yada yada yada... some creeps have more than 3 skills and they know how to use them to beat a mini... just like they adapt to every other class in the game. The ones that actually learn those skills well... don't lose very often... in fact, many freeps feel the well played creep classes are extremely OP.... GASP!

Who said minstrels are OP in spars? (apart from purebloodworg that is a well known troll) More important, who cares if any class is OP in spars?
I really should stop arguing with people that defends minstrels are not OP in pvmp. Its like trying to argue to someone who believes 2+2 = 5. Ok, minstrels arent OP, you win.

ok ok, minis are OP in the moors, just as much as all the other freeps classes are, the problem is not freeps, its that creeps did not get enough of a boost to keep up with freeps. All of these magical issues occurred when all freep dps/heals increased, maybe it was just a random coincidence but you never know :P

i'm casual geared,
so far only burglars and lm's which are hard.
know 1 burg that could oneshot me with a back stab.
champs only good once. cappy's dunno. don't spar them often.
My burg would like to request that mini's continue to stun me on piercing cry.
Depends on the individual this, Piercing Cry only stuns (5 seconds) on a crit (and only if traited but every WS Minstrel loads it so that goes without saying) so it depends on how able you are to downgrade crits and how high the Minstrel's crit rating is as to whether or not you are stunned. If you were facing me for example, there's probably about a 50/50 chance and then I have to wait 30 seconds to try again.
Don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant skill and it goes off quite frequently in PvE, but it's not automatic and is massively gear dependent.

When burgs are stunned they get a massive self-heal to break out of it and 30 seconds of +50% evade, that is why he wants you to
Not at all. Light of the Rising Dawn, Blinding Flash, Cracked Earth, Herb-Lore... Plus they can use Air-Lore to keep you from stunning them. Draw Power may have a CD, but they only really need to use it once.
