Good morning!

I'm awake. I wouldn't go so far as to say conscious. (Work is slow this morning. )

I have a couple of little tasks I had set for myself just before my trip at the beginning of this month, but they got put on hold because of it. I need to take care of those. Not only is time passing too quickly overall, but I'm starting to feel like I can't quite keep up. How in the world is it almost April?!?!?

I need food. Maybe the brain cells would be happier then. (The first large mug of tea is already long gone.)

I thought I'd share this. I always enjoy Sheldon, but this one actually got me to laugh out loud, which doesn't happen all that commonly. Let me just say that I agree with Arthur's (the duck) comment in the last panel.

Nobody's really changing their nationality just yet, exactly, but we're trying to get Garaf up to Canada so that we can properly indoctrinate him into the ways of maple syrup and hockey.

Speaking of hockey, i want to reach out and give Gombur a hard time for my Devils beating his Hawks in an extended shootout. i wish i could have watched it, musta been a great game...

Trebuchet!

So, I get permission to put in the extra hours needed to catch up and the copy machine goes south...I can either run up and down the stairs...stand there watching the thing upstairs work...both...put on my hard hat and steel toed shoes and protective sleeves and go out into the shop to use that one...or say to #### with it and go home. I've updated several things, just...can't...print...them... .

*I know, I think printing it is dumb since everyone has a computer on the same server but the guys out on the floor get print copies...and 'in theory' I should be able to get my hands on a print copy should the network go down for more than a day.*

I hear ya on the wanting a hard paper copy,...I always prefer it..even if sent digitally,..I still go and print it myself. I find it easier to communicate and easier to wrap my head around it that way,..

put it on a USB drive,..stop off at staples and print it then bring it in tomorrow!

My new job is going interestingly. Apparently, a big client really fubar'd their stuff, and everyone's been scrambling to unfubar it, so my on-boarding is going slowly (also, as part of the Custom Development Group (the department I am with), I need a lot of permissions and those are slow-going).

there's a few fubar'd things around here today... And there's a few things I'd like to stuff into a Trebuchet and let fly!!!

4:30 pm, and a colleague drops an 85 page report on my desk for senior review (and that doesn't count the 40 figures and the 7 major appendices). And it must go tomorrow. And I have an all day client meeting tomorrow. And I'm preparing a major presentation for the Vancouver Geotechnical Society for tomorrow night. oh, and mom and dad just happen to call up and just happen to be in town and want to visit tonight. Not to mention I barely slept last night.
