Thread: Character levels not updating for lotteries

The Lottery has finally acknowledged my Mini's existence on Vilya as well.

Yay! Just noticed they were updating now. Thanks to whoever got this going again. It's nice to finally have my champion in for the champion steed, even if he missed the champion only drawings.

I see they've broken the link between character levels and the lottery again (amongst all the other things they've broken on the community site).

I've got a LM that's level 71 now and is still showing as 68. Been wrong for 3 or 4 days now.

Hmm, yes you are right. My character that leveled yesterday hasn't been updated on the Character Sheet. The log is up to date though.

My characters on Riddermark are not updating. In fact, my warlord, Daerdin, shows as Level --. Neither the character info nor the lottery page seem updated for Riddermark.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon. Been enjoying the lotteries, even when I don't win!

Same problem here with Ratharin@Snowbourn server. On my.lotro site he is listed two levels behind when compared to what I've achieved in-game (looks like the info on mylotro is several days behind). On the other hand character log is up to date, displays all the things done in last session :-(

- Lauraella is 75 showing still as 74

My Character Nimleb isnt updating as well, shows as lvl 45 when he's now 48 so in the wrong tier for lottery wins....

All my characters on both Belegaer and Laurelin that have leveled recently are still shown with their old levels both on myLotro and on the lottery. The character log does include the recent changes, so one of the characters still shows as level 17 (which she reached on May 5) while her log shows a bunch of quests and level advances after that date up to reaching level 20 (her current level).

I can't check any of the other characters since their character log doesn't show up in myLotro (old EU kinship problems), but the levels they are shown with correspond with the date of the character I mentioned above. It looks like somehow the levels are no longer updated while the rest of the information still is. I'm hoping that this will change again, soon.

My level 26 Cappy (aranair) is still listed as 24 after about a week (haven't played the cappy much lately)

Vilya is not updating again.

We're taking a look at the issue. Looks like this is impacting more worlds than the previous issue.

One has to wonder if data from the game isn't flowing out properly...i.e. the lack of updates to the leaderboards as well. It's unlikely they use the same interface, but it does align.

I've had pretty much instant updates for character levels for a long time at Eldar, but now my Guardian, Sadielin, has got stuck at level 73. I dinged 75 several days ago already...

Didn't really pay much attention to it as it's at least stuck at high enough level to participate in a correct lottery category. I can imagine the frustration of those who have their toons stuck at much lower level and having more effect that way...

Leaderboards are working...I wonder if they got to the bottom of this too.

Data doesn't flow out. it's pulled out. We restarted the scripts that are responsible for handling this.

If characters aren't updated within 24 hours of this post and assuming your last login was also within the same 24 hours, please post and let us know.

Not that you've ever run a craft-level aware lottery..but any chance you could kickstart those scripts as well?

One of my characters Sulinn, on Silverlode, does not appear in lottery page. She's there under 'my characters'. She won a tin token lottery a couple of weeks ago but she's not listed at all now (either under 'Welcome Wagon' or under current healers lottery). She's level 8. So it's not an eligibility issue. All the others are there.

Not a major issue compared with some European players transfer problems but I thought should you should know.

It is.

"Welcome Wagon Lottery" is for level 10-15. This was changed a while ago from level 7 (or so).

Looks like all servers are working except Withywindle

Yep, checked several people including my own, none of them updated on Withywindle. Well we´re the forgotten rear-end of LotrO anyway.

All of my characters on Vilya are still showing lower than they actually are..Lore-master is showing level 60 , he is lvl 75, Champ is showing level 33, he is lvl 49, only one showing close to the correct level is a lvl 18 warden, which is showing lvl 16, been this way for a while.

My Vilya characters had been falling behind in their levels as well, but I see that they are all showing their correct levels now.

Could those of you who were reporting issues with characters not updating on Withywindle please check again?

FWIW, my characters are all on Withywindle, and their character levels, cash on hand, stats, equipment, etc. haven't updated for about a week. Curiously, this was the case even though their respective Character logs were updating correctly. This was the case until Friday evening/night, at which time the character logs stopped updating.

So none of my completed quests/deeds/levels from the weekend have updated in the character logs at the moment, in addition to the fact that my character info (equipment/cash/stats/level) has not changed for a week or so.

Yep, nothing improved. Red lantern goes to Withy again.

This is new. On the character details screen, rather than showing any icons at all for my characters' equipped items, they're all no showing up as error placeholders - that is, there are red X's where each icon should be. When I first posted a few hours ago, the icons were still visible.

No change to currency and stats - they are still showing up with outdated numbers. Levels still not updated.

This should be resolved now. Try checking again in a little while. It will take the scripts a little bit to catch up.

The only issue that I'm still encountering is that all the icons are still showing up as red X's; if I hover over each, the correct tooltip with the correct icon does still pop up. Just for what it's worth.

Please, all of my characters on Vilya,my level 75 LM is still showing as 60.. all the others are under level by at least 5..Please. could someone take a look at vilya again..it's still broken for me.. Thankyou in advance.

It isn't simply server-dependent. My characters on Vilya have been updating very fast.

Whichever of your data-mining and transferal dwarves you folks 'encouraged', they are now doing much better in getting and keeping the character levels updated. I hope this results from finding and dispatching various 'gremlins' from the system for good and is not an exorcism that must be repeated periodically. Good job!

It's getting really frustrating. For most of the time when I try to display some of my characters on my.lotro I get outdated snapshot of character a few days/levels behind or "An error occurred while processing your request. We apologize for the inconvenience.".
It's not realistic to expect 99,999...999% space-mission-critical-up-time of whatever technical solution is used to display the data. But it's like 5% chance that there is something meaningful and up-to-date on my Characters tab!
I'm a software developer myself and I can't imagine any system with such behaviour shown to the customer not to mention deploying it. Please start to treat yours customers seriously and finally fix it, it seems horde of people have the same problems for quite long period!

I've got problems with the Gilrain server and lottery information being out of date.

Is it just me ?

I've only just noticed that my charachter activity log does show accurate levels... whereas the lottery is months behind.

I haven't seen other Gilrain people mention this in this thread ... ???

And it's back to being broken again, or at least it's the first time it's happened to me. My two most recently played characters havn't had their levels updated since last week, putting both in the wrong bracket.

So if you're not seeing your levels update, please included the server you are on and at least one of the character names so we can take a look. It may be specifc to certain servers or there may be another issue.
