I don't know think the server is that dead, but the Gladden forum sure appears to be. Lol.

That's because everyone rather spend more time playing than trollin' (well, except me cuz I'm at work and rather be trollin' ).

    Re: What is really dead?

Gladden's forum has been one of the least active since day one, even though the server itself is relatively active. I don't have a great explanation for that, but it's something I've noticed almost since the game started.

    Re: What is really dead?

maybe because the same reason like with myself:

I started LotRO only a few weeks ago, installer suggested server Gladden to me and I just accepted it without thinking about it. Also I did not know, if I really will play this game, just wanted to have a look on it.

Normally I prefer pvp games, possible with loot. But LotRO got me embraced from the beginning. Even though pvp seems to play only a side roll, I must admit the game spends an awesome athmosphere and the pve content is so good, that I do not think of stop playing for the moment.

So I am a rather new player, and did not look much in the forum yet, especially since there are no pvp or rvr reports to post or read. But will do more often now I think, we'll see .

But I can confirm, Gladden is not dead in-game

btw: I live in Austria, German is my mother's language, but Gladden does not seem to host very many german speaking players. Still I will stay here and enjoy the athmosphere of Middle Earth

I see quite a few German speaking players on early in the morning (5:00 am Central (-5 GMT right now). Mein Deutsch ist sehr schlecht, but I do see chats and items offered for trade that are showing up in chat with the German name instead of the English one. I can't compare population to another server, but there is an active German speaking population on Gladden. Even fellowshipped with some of them.

Germany here, and I met a few others speaking German ... its more likely to find someone from our regions in OUR hightimes. A good indicator of how many from EU are on Gladden is to log in on the US folks' off hours. You'll notice seeing the same names over and over again ... send them a tell 'Guten Morgen, are you from Europe too?'

Gladden is booming wherever I go. I know there's a German community both freep and creep side. Just earlier today I got an invite to a German kin on a crafting alt.
