    Exclamation Mic problems

    Ok so my computer realizes that i have a mic and i can record sound in the sound recorder etc.
    but LOTRO will play through the headphone but not pick up on the mic part
    it worked once and now it wont
    please help me

    Did you look at your Audio Settings in Lotro? You first have to turn on voice.

    Make sure Lotro is using the right sound card; if you have a choice of more than one, swap between them. Sometimes that makes it work.

    One issue I've noticed since Update 6 is that before the update I could plug/unplug my headset whenever I wanted and the LOTRO client would recognise it (just had to make sure to set the mic under audio options). After Update 6, the client will only recognise the mic in my headset if it's plugged in before I start the game client. If I start the game without the headset plugged, then plug in the headset, in the audio options do not show my mic as the voice capture device, I have to exit the game and restart the client to get the game client to recognise the mic. I'm using a USB headset.

    I've had that problem for years.
