Thread: Level 2 and I still HATE this game

After playing a character to level 3 and deleting him, I realized Caddler Cob was setting me up and therefore won't do the quest for him, who walks into a trap on purpose?

I've been trying to work on class deeds and get killing xp on the training dummies but all the mits are WAYY overpowered so I'll bug them and then probably change games for good.

The trick is to let him set you up, and then turn his trap against him! Did you know you can actually beat that quest? It's really tough, and it takes a lot of skill to get it right, but with enough practice, it is possible.

P.S. guys, I heard that there might be plans to add a new type of game-feature: "skirmish" or something. It's strictly confidential info, so don't tell anyone about it, but rumor has it that we'll actually be able to walk into Bree and defend it from raiding brigands or some such, and we'll even get to liberate Tookburough from half orcs... Hush now! You don't get this from me.

I actually had quite a time reading this it sure is a +rep worthy thread!

The sad thing is this is the second time that TSK's threads have been locked then unlocked again. Don't these new mobs know that in his uber eliteness TSK is giving us the inside knowledge on how to level up? Maybe they are afraid we'll all turn into power levelers like TSK is. Mods are /reported again!

No worries for me though. I know how to level. I've got my bag of Narsil's and I feel fine.

OP's failure to scale his/her damage and enjoyment and damage enjoyment with his/her level is obvious proof of total n00b-ness. Hence the suggested move of this thread.

When you level, you aren't supposed to be that much multiplied of your starting stats. It takes longer than that.

Also, the level cap is 75 not 6. I can't believe you'd make a thread like this when you don't even know about this game. Seriously, just play it some more.

What did you do? Buy the charater on ebay? Bribe a GM? Buy 50% +1 Of Warner stock?

This is Pay 2 Win pure and simple.

So don't go thinking you are more uber than my level 1 Hobbit Warden trhat I've been building for 8 months. I EARNED my level and in a matter of weeks I'll be level 2 and it will have been all me buddy... Stick that southfarthing in your pipe and smoke it.

Don't you love it when people say to slow down and enjoy the game? Haha, well yes this is one of the slowest paced MMO's out there (only one of...), but it's like that was for a reason. It's more story based than most MMO's, and that I love about it! If you want a faster paced MMO you're going to have to look elsewhere... Otherwise just enjoy Tolkien's world and remember you're going through areas at least 10 times as fast as Frodo or Sam ever did.

What I love the most about this thread is the people jumping in to defend the OP from people who are obviously in on the joke.

It's like watching 2 people having a mock fight and a 3rd person stepping in not realising it isn't real.

Those of us who play 48/7 and took 4 years to reach cap are quite upset you can get 1/2 the way in two sessions. You surely didn't ask the ladies for help did you? (Hello ladies...)

You should go fight moar snow lynx. They're the solo raider's best chance at getting an unbugged boss fight, before you hit draighooch.

Don't tell the forums, though.

I'm assuming this is one of the posts Thoronthor mentioned or are you serious? Sorry, it is early morning here and I can't tell if your post was meant in the good spirit of most of the posts here or just missed the point in all our /reporting?

Phew, thanks for clearing this up! I just finally got to level 5 after five years of hard, grinding effort and was like: "What!? Level 6??" then swore a bunch, woke my kids and wife up etc ... What a relief ... I mean, raising the level cap that dramatically? That would be crazy.

He's there, but you need to kill 1 million boars to get him to spawn. I did it last week when i ding'd level 4. Gonna get my flying pie mount (pieing mount?) any week now

If you think power leveling in a game is hard core try to live in RL at Ooooooo, about warp 13. Ya try to get everything crammed into like 5 minutes and then it backfires....

Like when yer riding down road feeling kinda confident cuz ya just capped 19 boars, and ya got a fuzz buster and a CB radio and an empty Jack Daniels bottle in front seat and 43 cases of Budweiser in the backseat and the Chat Police stop ya. As you desire to be respectful you say "Sir! I wudn't doing nuthin'. I was just headed over to Archet to kill some boars and the next thing I knew I was on the road to Rivendork". Then he sorta leans on ya and you begin to beg "Please don't take me in, my ol' lady will kick my butt!" "Got any tickets to the ball?"

So slow down O Top Shelf One. Don't try to do it all in 5 minutes. 10 or 15 minutes is just fine for a timespan and just as Top Shelf.
