Very comical that these things that used to just cost silver since they were more or less useless now cost 2k commendations.

We have to spend 1500+ on R1 skills that are essential to our survival...get out there and earn your commendations!

I read that as you have to spend 500 less on something you will actually use...

Or I have to spend 500 more for something that is totally worthless.

lv 48 weapons costing 2k commendations is broken...

You can just ignore that NPC entirely as everyone has done for years, the gear wasn't worth the silver either.

Creeps need to purchase their skills.

Of course this raises the question of what they were thinking when they converted it over. Did anyone actually look at anything in the moors to determine what it should cost?

Definitely not that gear.

Freeps have to use commendations to get all their 'Moors stuff? Ohemge, the sky must be falling.

Creeps get commendations for getting their map, freeps have to spend commendation to get it.

Something is wrong here.

if it is totally worthless, then why would you buy it? If your not gonna buy it, why complain?

As stated creeps have to pay ridiculous ammounts for tier skillz...i started a warg and got him up about 4 ranks and guess what...i have only been able to buy him one skill.

The difference is the volume of commendations required by Creeps opposed to those needed by Freeps. All you have to spent yours on is gear, Creeps (Warg) have to spend 16,000 by Rank 3 on skills alone, not including Audacity or Appearances. This reason alone has some peoples arguing that creep and freep commendations need to be seperated.

This. And once freeps get their gear (which every freep can have their full armour at r1, technically speaking), they're done. They have maxed audacity and ghastly looking armour - jewellery/off-hands/shields/banners are fluff, though still relatively cheap and, again, a 1 and done buy.

Creeps are not done getting skills, traits, appearances until r15.

Let me put it another way (keeping in mind these exclude the LOTRO store option, which many people still avoid).

A freep with ~258,500 renown (aka r9) can have all of their gear and fluff.
A creep has to have 3,708,500 infamy to have all their skills and traits.

Even creeps that were r10+ had to go out and farm like crazy to get enough commendations to purchase new, necessary lower rank skills. Freeps didn't have to grind for 2k commendations just to buy new skills that they need to be effective out there, did they? No.

So you're going to complain about the cost of something you'll never get anyway? Ignore it and move on with your life, no harm no foul.

Three times. Without using alts or mules, this is how things tend to lean. Devs... hello?

Not gonna lie, I was pretty excited to grab my r10 cape to throw on cosmetic when I ranked yesterday, but was pretty bummed to find that the capes (which I and many others only use for cosmetic effect) now cost 2k commendations instead of silver. I'm still grinding Audacity so can't afford a 2k commendation visual effect at the moment.

I guess the stats aren't too bad for some people though, but I still feel the need to QQ moar

I thought this thread was going to be about potion costs, which are like 3-4x the cost in silver vs. anywhere else. It's literally like a gold for a stack, wat.

What part of creeps need commendations to buy their skills do you not understand?

If you're going to be that butt hurt about it, roll a creep and farm maps for commendations. See how fun that will be.
