I'm not sure what you're really after. Are your complaints about the state of the Burg in the moors intended to change Turbine policy on the class? If so, the fact that not many (are any?) burgs are agreeing with you weakens that case. Or is this merely cathartic for you?

I am glad Freeborn keeps posting these threads. Helps balance out the forums and counters the op videos of Moors Burgs and makes us less a target for nerfs. I hit as hard on creeps with 7 audacity now as I did before u6 because I have better gear. Yeah I am a man not hobbit but I still wail on creeps out there.

a hunter cant move in stealth. You guys map in stealth lol it is so not the same.

well i got hit on my rk yesterday for 1.7k from a warg my rk has about half the moral of the warg so i guess you have about the same damage from stealth when you take into account the moral diffrence. 5k would be almost 1 shoting a freep wargs are killing light armor and huntrs faster than i could kill any rank creep in this update. There one warg that is pouncing hunters in the midle of a mounted, moving raid, killing them and is gone before anyone knows whats up. I could never pull off such a stunt on my burg. I am talking about good raids. not a bunch of noobs.

The funny thing is from what i see and who i see not playing I think a lot agree with me. I think the people that are posting dont play much now even though they look like ranked burgs, as I have tried to show. a lot of other people are just trolling with low rank burgs in the sig or wargs and must be discounted. The other problem is anyone who complained has been flamed in the last 2 years with LTP you must suck. There been a huge shift in the forum. I was the rule 2-3 years ago not the exception. Yet things have continued to go down hill for the class. People are begging to get skills nerfed before they are even added to the game. Like the auto dev with FA that was supose to come with ROI. I guess more people want the class on the weaker side and it looks like they are winning. Just boggles the mind every other class seems to want buffs new skills abilities. this class seems to want less. I cant beleave that is the majority. I dont buy it somthing is rotten.

Plus on the pvp end the diffrence from a ranked creep to a green dot seems higher than it ever was and there is just so much trash to kill out there. I guess They are happy killing the trash living the illusion now.

dieing is apart of the game, so what if someone has 0 stars? honestly... it just means they arent a star hugger and could care less about dieing and rather focus on having fun, besides i bet 0 stars is 1 more then you have anyways.

I have taken on two wargs at a time rank 8 and won them. I've taken on straight after a reaver and won that, then finally dying to a BA.

Please grow up. They've changed a few things so what, learn to adapt to it or please stop posting and leave the game.

I'm no fan of Everborn or his over-dramatization of burgs being unplayable but I gotta call bs on your reply. First, you're non burg isn't even 1 star. Second unless this was pre-RoI or at the very least no more than day one or two after U6, I ain't buying what you're selling. I gotta rank 8 burg that 10K from rank 9 with 3 stars and I'm practically suicidal in the moors on a server that has a BIGGER creep to freep ratio than BW has and no way are you pulling that off what you described unless those players had major lag, were AFK or they quested to rank 8 and you were the first freep they ever fought. I could burn you down in less than a minute on my rank 8 warg, come to BW and see for yourself and I'll pay for your transfer if I'm wrong. I've seen better champs (Shiby) come and go from BW, I'll be happy to welcome you to the server on CM.

There are rank 8 wargs that kill burgs solo. Then there are rank 8 wargs that will get 3 or 4v1'd by burgs. All rank 8 wargs are not created equal.

i think some of you are verry big fish in verry small ponds. You should come to the ocean and see whats up. Class is far from op these days. the class is gimped in most aspects of pvp now and just a cripple if you happen to be a hobbit on a big server.

I primarily raid when I am in game. I go to the Moors for fun. That you attacked my rating Freeborn in an attempt to insult me tells me much more about you and your definition of Burgs in the Moors than anything you have said in this thread. I have never cared for a rating. I can see why some take it as a challenge, but to me a focus on rating detracts from what I consider fun about the Moors.

Why do I go to the Moors? To kill my friends of course and for the challenge of taking on something much harder than AI in PVE. I will take on 4 creeps alone if nothing else is going on out there. If I can kill one but die I consider it success. I will attack when its 2 on 4. I will dive in when an ally is getting ganked to show support or send a message to the creeps about what I think of their zerg.

Moreover I have the respect of the creeps and freeps I play with. That is much more worthy than rating. Having the respect of the people you associate is important. Winning a hard challenge in the moors gets that. Ganking newbs for rating is not my cup of tea.

1 or 2 r9 wargs with full audacity are still no problem,atleast on our server where r9 is the highest active wargrank atm.. Burgs still get away more then Hunters,LMs,RKs when getting zerged by XX creeps,maybe even more then any other class?!...

The only difference i noticed is,i had to adapt to the *new* Moors.. Took me some time to get the audacity,now wargs dont hit me for 1.5k anymore and its alot better,i dont bother to use TnG if the wargs are in shadow,i just use KO.Worked on my rotation,learned to not burn all CDs and CCs at the wrong times... I almost like the new Burg more..

My dmg has gone down due to audacity a bit and i cant sure dev each minute anymore if i run Moors Set,switching gear takes care of that tho if needed and i still dev 3-4k on a warg with full audacity,more then enough imo.

And I am not even a good Burg ... I can just immagine what good Burgs on other servers are able to do.

Just to clarify, you're saying you can kill 2 rank 9 wargs and both have 7 audacity? Or you are able to get away from 2 rank 9 wargs with 7 audacity?

My 2 cents worth.

My spider has rank 6 audacity now. There are several experienced burgs on the sever that consistently kill me every time they attack me. (I am able to put up a good fight and it takes 1-2 minutes for them to kill me.) There are also several lowered ranked burgs I have never heard of that have attacked me and died. Seems like audacity is working GREAT to me. Fights aren't over in seconds (unless you are fighting a hunter) and the more skilled player is winning.

I also took my burg out to the moors the other day. (I want to rank my spider but I miss playing my burg.) My burg has rank 1 audacity. I got tracked as soon as I got near EC so I avoided the place. I killed about 7 different rank5 or lower creeps easily (including 2 wargs). I found a rank 7 warg and killed him. I also sparred a rank 9 reaver and won.

Im not seeing the problem.

ifreborn is right, P2W FOTM wargs are everywhere at the mo........solo burgs are screwed royally.

My spider is celebdan. As I said. Good burgs kill me, so-so burgs die. Either way the fight takes a minute or so.

Truthfully I log my spider in to turn in quests and raid. If raids break up my burg is MUCH better at getting renown/commendations solo. (Even with only audacity 1 on my burg.)

I know that one of them has full audacity,not sure how much the other one has. I rarely kill both tho,most of the times if i get the first one low enough he hipses/sprints.. I then bait by getting my morale low,so he comes back thinking he can go for an easy kill,i pop pot,glee,p2w storepots that i get from lootboxes KO if they are in shadow,and TnG if they are flayer... then kill the guy that came back making the other one run as soon as he realises that this wont be an easy fight 1v1 now..


Now as i said,our server isnt top tier pvp neither me or the wargs are close to pro`s on other servers... But yes,i dont feel like i could complain about Burgs beeing too weak now.

On Snowbourn there's also a warg plague. Let's get back into the so-called ''Star-Wargs month'', quoted by a player 2-3 years ago.

Those wargs are often playing very lame though, not sure about other wargs on other servers but it's here a pack of 3-4 buddies, in which the rat pops on Flayer and kites. I usually just pop KO and pump one, in the stun I'm able to pump 1 warg, audacity or not. In the 3v1 and 2v1's I've had, I've won around 80%, the first 50% without 7, the other 30% with 7 audacity. The KO set is pretty epic for warg packs now they can basically nerf themselves in seconds if they don't look that well at my buffs .

Burgs aren't really underpowered or utter trash, you just have to adapt to this situation. There's less stunning and damage, well we have never been stunned and didn't do OP-damage compared to Moria-SoM. It's just temporary, wait for your FA and jewels and you're set to pump anything you want. Only good players on warg / creep side are just a bit of a pain, but hey, they can flame us for being easymoder while they hug their cds as well. So why bother and just pop Tng when you jump up or something .

I do notice the renown income is quite less since U6, at least it counts for me, could be the server (lagg) as well.

I recommend to just play your own game and build up from square one. Keep in mind that we are still stunners, even though it won't take that long, we're able to get in position and burst 2-3k damage in the time that the creep is stunned.

I tried to play in the moors solo a fair amount the week before last (could've been two weeks... I'm losing track of the days). K/D stayed around 7:1, got enough renown to rank to 7 (finally), and enough commendations to get the KO set bonus, which I am in love with for fighting warg packs. Did my fair share of zerg hugging, suicide bombing, HH camping, solo roaming, and lowbie baiting (God bless em).

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Of course I'm sure there's some good reason my opinion and experience is invalid, but I guess I knew that before I hit the reply button.

Okay that matches with most of my experience except if I'm caught with pots on CD or my CDs down or in lag (lot of death post u6 from lag issues) and sometimes they hips and leave or if I suspect a croup or craid or they're by npcs, I'll hips and mount before they track me down and OOC me to death. But usually it's the rank 6s and below that what you describes I am able to trick - low morale, etc.

I'm drunk and don't understand half of it, but: it make me laugh!!! Burgs ftw, and especially: hobbit burgs ftw!!!111oneeleven!

The one good thing about the forums: It has a spell-check that works.

The Moors* are a deathtrap, it is not meant to be balanced. It's a freaking war. If you can't hack it against real players, maybe non-MMO's are right for you. The Moors are the ultimate test of skill. You can only go so far in PVE-land, once you figure it out, that's it, game over. The only variable is who you bring with you, which can be controlled to a certain extent. But out there.. Those are real people too. There is no set outcome and it is always changing. Against an NPC you know the outcome 99% of the time but against another person you never know. Survival of the fittest, if you die, there will always be a rez circle waiting and warm for you. But less QQ more killing. I think if we spent more time doing that, there wouldn't be a need to QQ so much since we'd be busy killing or trying to stay alive.
