    Re: Spring Fest?

For account wide steeds it would be possible to have a item that is account bound, generates a mount skill and won't be comsumed on use.
Ok, this way the player needs one item slot in the shared bank vault, but it would certainly simplify the process.

But please if you do something outside my.lotro, don't limit it to Twitter, but extend it to Email as well. It's one thing to read the page with the twitter info from time to time, but there are enough people who just don't want to use facebook or twitter.

Only just saw this - yippee! Indeed sounds like an eventful Spring/Summertime with lots of fun stuff to do! Excited!

    Re: Spring Fest?

The next day more carts rolled up the Hill, and still more carts. There might have been some
grumbling about 'dealing locally', but that very week orders began to pour out of Bag End for every
kind of provision, commodity, or luxury that could be obtained in Hobbiton or Bywater or
anywhere in the neighbourhood. People became enthusiastic; and they began to tick off the days on
the calendar; and they watched eagerly for the postman, hoping for invitations.

Before long the invitations began pouring out, and the Hobbiton post-office was blocked, and
the Bywater post-office was snowed under, and voluntary assistant postmen were called for. There
was a constant stream of them going up the Hill, carrying hundreds of polite variations on --Thank
    you, I shall certainly come.--

A notice appeared on the gate at Bag End: NO ADMITTANCE EXCEPT ON PARTY
    BUSINESS.

Well, we won't have to wait until September, I'm sure. But I figured this passage would fit well with the anticipation

Let there be light on this planet ... And let it shine through me
Let there be travellers who venture ... Far from the beaten path
And let one of them be me
    - Jefferson Starship - Unused Lyrics, 'Champion'

It's been on the calender as a tentative date for awhile now. May 23 to June 11. The Farmer's Faire is slated for July 18 to August 5.

It was scheduled for May 16-June 8 with the Farmer's Faire being July 9-31... looks like they moved it back a week?

Aye, they did move it. Probably because they extended the Anniversary Festival by a week.

The calendar does have a tentative starting date, Wednesday the 23rd, I guess that's to make sure we all spend our holidays in our families' faces instead of glued to our screens...

I heard this date last week, so I thoughted I check back today... yours is the only comment from this week, so I'm going to have to say I agree.

I got a real kick out of the guy from Turbine who said that they had to push it back because they wanted to make the 5th anniversay special.... RFLMAO... a letter chasing quest, a bunch of fireworks in two locations (and the six glitched ones we had to track down), thorin photocopy Thorin's brawl that half the people didn't bother with, and a horse with a new saddle that was 2x as much as usual so we could grind more.

I'm seriously hoping they put more thought into the Spring festival, but if all I end up doing is finishing the Map quest I started 1 year ago I wouldn't be surprised, after reading that excuse.

    Unhappy Re: Spring Fest?

Came here looking for any information - nada. I agree I don't think it's starting tomorrow. If it was cancelled for the Anniversary thingy I would be miffed too.

We as a entire kin started around the Summerfest and I would love to come full circle - but with the 90+ temperatures here and summer creeping up on us it truly feels like there will be no Spring Festival.

Hope Sape or someone comments soon I am worrying now. Love my Fests!

Actually the calendar is says a tentative date of May 24. Keep in mind all calendar dates are entered based on Eastern Time (NYC/Boston). If your timezone is different you may see a different date.

    "May 23 2012 to Jun 11 2012 09:00 PM to 08:59 AM"

But I do have to point out how funny I find it that we are about to celebrate the SPRING festival and I'm suffering in 90 degree weather here! 100 some days, and by the time the festival is coming to an end in mid June it will be a good 110 degrees! Nice Springy weather right! lol

Hate to break it to ya but not everyone is having your kind of weather, in fact it's not even going to break 75 for at least 2 weeks here so it's very spring like where I live.

Maybe it would be best since this is a world wide game to judge spring by it's dates, not your own special weather patterns.

It's not usually toward the end of spring but I am thankful for an awesome 5th anniversary celebration and can forgive a little delay.

Well if we're going to go by the dates then the spring festival will be ending onlytwo weeks before the first day of summer. That would be June 20th. lol Still more summery than spring in my opinion.

Yeah, we just had the first day here in Scotland this Spring that actually felt like Spring. Mind you, the harvest of rocks never touched by sunlight was utterly spoilt, but you can't plan for such rare events as sunlight here.
