"A Sunset Storm" quest questions.. *SPOILERS*...

In this quest, you're able to summon 3 Oathbreakers at the start of it. They stay with you until you reach a certain point where several Bluecaste Sorcerers decide to help you, instead.

Now, my question is this: Are those sorcerers supposed to just sit at that one gate the rest of the time or are they supposed to follow you like the Oathbreakers did? I did notice that other sorcerers, further along, had become allies, only in that they didn't attack me. However, none helped fight, either, unless I dragged mobs back to the /first/ group. Even then, they only smacked the mobs randomly while I fought them around them.

Is this WAI? I got through the quest okay without them following me around to help, though those sorcerers that light up my screen and freeze all the visuals are a major pain on my eyes.. (but that's another subject..lol). I was just curious about how they're supposed to act, since the Oathbreakers vanished at that point.

    Thanks for any info.

Don't have any info on the sorcerers; they just sat there for me too, but I noticed the Oathbreakers are actually on a 5min timer so if you are really quick you can have them past the sorcerer point.

In order to use the Summoning Horn, it says I need "Brunwath's Call". Obviously I don't have it as it is red for me. I do have the Sunset Storm Instance quest though.
What is Brunwath's Call and how can I obtain it?

I wondered, briefly, about that, too. It just means you have to actually be inside the 'fort' before you can summon them. Just take a few steps into the gate and you'll be able to use it. Of course, those first two mobs will aggro pretty quick, so be ready to use the horn before you go into warmode or you'll need to kill those two first.

Okay... just repeated this one last night and /this/ time, the sorcerers would run over to me when I aggroed the next group up, as if they were going to fight. They still only jabbed a few times while I did most of the fighting. Then they ran back to the starting point until I aggroed the next group.

This makes me think they /are/ supposed to be following you, like the Oathbreakers did, and that I should bug it.

So, I think I'll do that and see if it gets changed at some point. Although, I am curious as to what's happening with other people during this quest.

I've seen this issue with the oathbreakers and mages as well. It's a little silly to have the oathbreakers for 5 minutes if your stuck with the huge mob groups throughout the instance. The mages just stand at the door and don't help unless you drag mobs to them. Even then they don't do much so your stuck trying to stay alive while killing them. In the last ward, your stuck on your own with all the mobs and the boss attacking at the same time, I'm not sure how many classes can handle that. There's enough repeatable quests to skip this one till it's fixed.

As far as Brunwath's call is concerned, you will only have that horn if you chose the questline to redeem the oathbreakers in Rushbog. If you chose to aid the other NPC in the camp (the one who wanted to eradicate them), you received a different item that helps you when running the other repeatable quest in the Brown Lands (the one where you defend the fort).

You don't actually need the summoning horn, but if you have it, you get some oathbreakers to help you. If you did the other quest, you get helpers on the other repeatable as has been stated, but neither quest actually requires the helpers. They should be doable by any class without the helpers, though it may require more care for some of them than for others.

In the second ward, you only really need to clear the group at the entrance and the group at the camp near the Guardian. The Socerers always seem to aggro some guys from another camp, but they can pretty much deal with them handily while I deal with the guys at the first campfire.

Once you defeat the second Guardian, you can take on the two sorcerers at the entrance to the third ward. Then, go up the hill toward the final boss and drop down to take on the third Guardian.

For the final group, I generally slide in the door and go right. Most of the time, I successfully avoid aggroing any MoBs (tho, it can be hit-or-miss - tho I only ever aggro the group to the left). Then, you can take on each group of three separately. As far as I can tell, there is no time limit, so I can often regen between the fights.

Of course, you can clear every ward (mostly for coin & loot). There's one spot in the second ward where I seem to aggro two groups (there's one group hidden in a tent). I've found that clearing the other campsites before going near the tent keeps this from happening.

As a LM, I'm an adequate player, but I have rarely had any issues with this instance. The only place I generally have an issue is at the camp just beyond the first Guardian. The Oathbreakers are generally gone by then, so I have to deal with the group by itself. I've found that it's easier to take down the cat-master and his pet first, before dealing with the other two.

Question Re: "A Sunset Storm" quest questions.. *SPOILERS*...

    Excuse me, I'm just wondering.....
I have Brungwath's horn in my bags for this quest, but I don't have the related quest instance in my quest log.

Can someone please tell me, where do you pick this quest up from please?
Who do you speak to, to start the quest?

From Ceola in the Brown Lands, if you just picked the horn it's going to take a while till you get there and then you have to do pretty much all the quests in the camp before you get to do the Sunset Storm.
Re-ni-AN-nen - strayed (ppt. of renia- 'to stray')
Aeled Reniannen, Defender of Middle-earth ~ Nendhiniel, Forge-Warden : Captain and Wardenette from [EN-RP] Laurelin
Fluffrash, Blade of Barashish ~ Nathraen, Conqueror of Towers : Warg Puppy and Spider Tailor from the darker side thereof
    Faradwen, Swift-Arrow : Huntress from [EN-RE] Landroval

As if in answer there came from far away another note. Horns, horns, horns. In dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed. Great horns of the North wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last.

Thanks for the very helpful reply.
What usually happens when you get a quest, or an instance quest requiring a particular item automatically given by the quest, is that you go in with it right away, then when you've finished, you hand it in, and the quest item disappears instantly.
It seems rather strange to me why this hasn't happened before. Looks like some new kind of process they've added for some unknown (to me) reason. *shrugs*

I don't mind doing all the quests in the Brown Lands though. That's what I enjoy most I think.

Once they disappear. You can go back to the gate where you summoned them and resummon. But like someone said.. it is on a 5 min timer.
To keep from agroing so many mobs. Just be sure and face AWAY from the next camp. Use mouse look instead. Then when you ready.. you can attack.
