Thread: Rez Campings Gotta Stop

I was in Moors the other day, and found that there was a lot of rez camping going on. Specifically the Lugz rez. There typically is SOME rez camping going on in moors, and I understand that. But a few players (im NOT giving out names) rez camped basically the whole day. I dont know if someone ticked someone else off or what, but the rez camping has gotta stop. It seems kinda low to kill a player who has just respawned. It is really low to be in stealth and 3 shot players (some were new players) coming from the rez when they cant even see you/defend yourself. I dont nor have I ever rez camped. Its gotta stop.

The rez has a 360 degree way out of it. If you're on your creep, then you have no basis to complain and if you don't know why.....well then, god help you.

In fact, no one should complain about rez camping.

while i doubt this thread pertains to me (though it probably could), i've gotta say, rez camping is way far down the list of things wrong with pvp on this server. i used to have a very lowly opinion of rez camping, like it seems you do. but that was just because it always seemed to turn into freeps camping creeps at lug rez after the traditional OC stare-off national championships, while freeps had 2:1 odds. and that's pretty lame. recently i've been giving it a shot solo/duo because i got pretty tired of riding to an EC zerg on a red map/making the usual ezmode rounds to HH, slugs, grams, etc. since EC is the new OC, lug rez (and even tr rez since it's usually red too) has been a fairly decent spot to escape otherwise dull pvp. as a matter of fact, cariance put it pretty nicely in another thread..

Rezzes are great places for PvP, but it depends on how you do it. If you are killing individuals, one at a time, with overwhelming numbers, yes, that's poor PvP. However, if you use the rez to let creeps build numbers, it can create some solid small group fighting.

don't get me wrong, you're entitled to any and all complaining that you want to do. especially if it happens to be 8+ freeps camping just a few creeps. (or vice versa) but it looks like you described something different than that. i think lug rez is a pretty easy spot to get out of being "camped." if it's 1 or a few hunters sitting there blowing you up every time you run out, make an ooc callout to fight back, use one of your many maps, or just don't run the same direction out every time.

I died in a pvp zone the other day too, scum alasander nailed me by the rock coming from lugz rez. He did exactly what he should have done, killed the creep get the renown. Map out, or log off. I came on yesterday the only action I could find was killing hobbits in HH or go to TR lugz and watch a certain champ blow his cool downs and get farmed (it was totally worth it).

Then I logged.


Get to the 1v1's and start ganking that seems to be the new ridder trend, or find another game to play (highly reccomend this), but the killing will continue. Everyone has to die, repeatadly if possible.

This thread makes me crazy with excitement, I heard about it and immediately went to go check it out, so please excuse all my exclamation marks! I offer you my condolences if you happened to get killed by a solo hunter in a PvP zone.

The best part of this thread is it was probably created by one of the creeps who tried to 5v1 me at lug rez, but failed because low cut/df > them. Good game bro, keep it up!!! Thanks so much for making a thread just for me, I feel so special

Nothing wrong with rez camping. Annoying? Yes. And small groups picking off solos I consider to be unclassy. But if there's some annoying little hunter name say...Meleo? Well, ZERG HIMMMMM first. If it's anyone else, I like to use non-stealth classes as bait. Like following T-bow from the rez to pop the pesky burg or hunter from stealth as they try to get whatever tiny amount of infamy he gives, so I can spot them and attempt to kill them.

If you can't kill them... well, the rez is a circle. Meaning, you can go whatever direction your want. Rez campers all choose the place where most people go through. With March on, you can usually go around them before they spot you. If all else fails, use a map. Even mapping to Grams and hiking back the long way is better than being stuck at the rez.

Tricksy little hunterses! Meleo should be 1 shotting whole raids of creeps. You're slackin off there Mel, you should be keeping all the creepies holed up in Grams.

I dont wanna be mistaken here: I dont mind dying or soloing. Its pvmp you're supposed to die, regularly. And there will be times when you have to solo. I just don't like it when im on my way to go help out other creeps in TA, TR, etc. then as soon as I get away from the one shotters getting blown out of the water in a matter of seconds. If someone is sitting in plain sight rez camping I go at them, but thats hard to do when ya cant seem them (burgs, hunters)

You noticed me in ROP while you and the other RK killed right? I try not to screw with people's PvE, we'll fight plenty elsewhere.

Also thanks for letting me solo AN, I was just mucking around to see if I could do it with the 3 NPC's on the bridge. I thought for sure once I killed him you guys would gank me. That mucker you run with has one nasty EC at his disposal...

Agreed. Which is why you can't complain when 60% of the creep population plays a warg after the last update.

I was being serious when I thanked you, I really enjoy threads like this. It's hilarious seeing people make a thread about being unable to return to the TA/STAB zerg.

Its an open PvMP zone with no set rules or boundaries. Quite frankly, some of the best fights I have ever had were at the rez, or nearby. If nothing else, rez camping has the possibility to promote mobility and draw massive amounts of aggro. If you die repeatedly at the rez call it out, map out, or log out.

I am not going to farm you at the rez, but if you literally keep running right at me don't expect a free pass. There is a 360 degree exit from the rez circle, all of which is protected by 1 shots.

I don't rez camp, I initiate surprise 1v1s.
