Hey there guys. I have been lurking around LOTRO for a while and it really caught my interest, though the buggy account creation (on which I spent a few days trying to find a solution, but none of them worked) and crashing downloader made me forget it... For some time. Well, you know, two days ago I was just surfing and I came across LOTRO advert. Hey, my former interest did not degrade so I clicked and noticed that the registration window looked different = INSTANT HAPPINESS. I threw up my account immediately and fixed the problem with the downloader (my regards to this forum, where I found the answer - it was crashing because of active AVAST A-V).

Well, read through lot of articles during download time, I finally entered the world. My game automatically set in the ultra graphics mode while running the Standard-res edition. I was really taken away. Rolled an Elf Hunter, dime a dozen, whatever, really enjoyable for now. The world is fascinating. It seems like it is really alive. The characters I meet are no longer just "some guys", the personal touch and variety is everywhere. So real, so great. Graphics astonishing and I find myself just watching my cloak in the wind when I run. Even reading through quest conversation - a thing I never did before. The story really sinks in and I enjoy going through every single quest, just for the sake of it, it's some real fun! Not to mention that the way that English is used in times really suits the atmosphere. I am really taken away. I was skeptical that this is another Pay2Win RPG for hard-core Tolkien fans and I must say that I was pretty off with that statement. Every minute I spent here makes me more interested in the actual lore and I really enjoy my time here. I am playing on Laurelin as RP is something I enjoy to do and LOTRO seems just great for it's purpose. There is a lot for me to grasp as the world is big and I am just getting to know the mechanics, but I am looking forward to it for sure!
