Thread: Rune Keeper is great!

Hello! With a hunter as my main, one would expect me to be all bitter toward RKs with the recent attention they've received by none other than Zombie_Columbus himself. However, I swallowed my pride and started playing a Rune Keeper to check out what all the fuss was about... Boy, am I impressed. The skills an RK gets are pretty interesting (not sure how it compares to some of my burglar's skills... some of those are just plain fun also... will determine later once I can test my RK out). Anyway, I was off in North Eastern Ered Luin committing genocide against the dead (oh I'm such a horrible person!) when I noticed a rare elite mob wondering about... Umthul. Feeling suicidal, I attacked him...



...I won. This character is now my next guaranteed 75. Gonna be a great journey!

Wait till u get 75 and 2nd ager....You can aggro 1 mob, kill it and then one shot second...and after that aggro one more and kill it with 2,5k 4k 4k crits..

I know! If I'm able to do this now on my RK with very limited gear (though I'll admit I had some nice earrings my brother made me) and very few skills, I can't wait to see what I can do at 75 with the full potential of the Rune Keeper at my disposal. It'll just take some getting used to as (at least from my experience) Rune Keeper kiting differs a bit from hunter kiting (yay for instant cast skills!) =D

RK isn't that awesome....try going to the moors with one, the RK is always the first to die. The RK is nothing more than a glass wizard after all...

I don't do the Moors anyway, horrible butchery of PvP. You can't claim how good a class is or isn't based on how they perform in the Moors considering this is a PvE centered game and classes are built for PvE from the ground up.

True, Rk's in the moors are a huge target, but the audacity did improve it considerably.

Good choice my friend.RK will never fail you let me tell you that Of all the classes,it is by far the most fun class imo.My main was a Minstrel -which was extremely fun to play- but I swapped to my RK.Amazing dps,amazing healing.RK haters are usually people who play in ettens and do nothing else and see RK's die.Like other classes doesn't die fast.And people who doesn't know how to handle light armour and die a lot.RK is great

I disagree. Killed 3 wargs in a 3v1 the other day all medium rank 6 and 7. Tier 3 writ of health, prelude of hope pulses, 40% tactical mitigation and audacity rank 4 made a huge difference.

Note. I did die about 2 seconds after the fight but i'll take it.
