Thread: Destiny Point Debacle

I'll admit at the outset that I should have read the developer diary a little closer and not just listened to the rumours floating around about how destiny would be used on creepside following update 6, but d*mn it, I feel screwed. Based on this dev diary alone,

I spent like crazy, blowing through hundreds of thousands of destiny points in the last month, thinking the entire system was on its way out.

Now following the update I find out that I still need dp for perks, (perks that have become almost essential in fighting any moderately geared freep of worth) yet now I have no way of recouping the points I foolishly spent. Truly I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around this gong show. Thanks Turbine for once again screwing over dedicated creeps.

You can still earn Destiny Points, but not creepside

Destiny Points can now ONLY be earned by levelling a Freep. AND only in PvE

So I suggest if you have some quite time around the moors, roll a freep toon, level to 20, delete and roll again

You start earning at level 10, and get 200 per level after

But that's the issue though in my mind, I still need destiny on creepside but can't earn it. I have 5 75 freep toons and no interest in lvling anymore (or any interest in playing them anymore)...and thus I'm screwed.

I did the same thing, I went from 300K to almost zero, although I'm referring to what I spent of my DP mainly on Elendilmir and Brandywine since I don't creep on Vilya much anymore but I've never been a fan of the perk process. Even freep side I see burgs running solo ganking at the rez but they got cappy buffs, LM SI (which makes you wonder do they have a pocket LM ever 60 secs?) and a row of perk buffs, food, etc. but I just don't bother, although I know it could make the difference. I guess too lazy and find it complicated and time consuming. But I can understand how anyone running solo would be disappointed with Turbine.

I really don't like alot of the new changes and I was hanging on BW since the update to see what those guys thought and there's not alot of happy campers. Xkira and Dnuftkno are indifferent but most, like Black Titan are unhappy.

I thought Rigs got a restraining order against you.

1. Why is there a cap on comms?
2. Why do creep skills cost so many comms? Why couldn't there be an alternative to getting skills and pots? (DP and stones)
3. Why can't you turn off the option to gain infamy from quests!?

Wow I've been in swtor, didnt know what was really going on with dp. I heard there was a big change but I never spent it. Last I looked I had 950k or so, was trying to hit a million, but quit playing. Have to log in and see what happened. I'll see if I can mail you some Rigs, if I still have any

Yeah but he failed to specify the forums in the TRO

Besides, once I hit High Warden, I'll use my influence in the correctional institution to gain favors from the rest of the law enforcement community and then a TRO will be unenforceable :/
