Exclamation Foundry change, forge targeting issues?

Last night we ran a Foundry with our new update gear. When our ranged when to attack the forge, "not in line of sight". Neither of them were able to attack the forge from the front, they had to move around to the back and attack it from the forge's flank.

I, on burg, has kind of the opposite problem, as was running between Ghash and Pen, I typically use "select nearest" to target them and apply a debuff, done this several times a week for months now. Last night, each time I'd do that, I'd find it selected the forge (!?) instead of the nearest.

While I could mêlée attack the forge from the front, I also got a line of sight issue at one point, but was able to just move within the forge to attack it.

Can anyone else corroborate these issues before I /bug it? Or envision a reason this might be intended instead?

Exclamation Re: Foundry change, forge targeting issues?

I have had this problem as well... I had to go melee range and attack from the corners of the forge, where there were grates, and attack from there. It's quite annoying. I hope it is not intended as that would suck and may piss alot of people especially hunters and dps RKs.

I haven't had a chance to run Foundry since update 6 but it actually used to be this way originally on Bullroarer before Update 5 went live. When it went live I was surprised at the change.. I guess they changed it back to the way it used to be.

Just experienced this tonight. This is wacky! Couldn't hit the forge unless I was right up next to it. I hope this is a bug that gets fixed soon...

There is one quadrant of the room where you can do range and melee attacks on it no matter where you are. Can't remember which it is though. (I think its far left looking from door)

I can confirm what Smugo said.
Starting at the far left corner of the forge- go to the left a few meters and range from there.

Yeah it kinda sucks. Hopefully everyone's got their own system to deal with the range issue, but here's mine:

I run to the North side of the forge (left as you enter the room [80% positive about which side]) and step forward until I can hit it. That basically means I hug it. After I establish contact, I back up until I am out of the forge's bleed range (watch your debuff bar) but still within melee range. Simple and safe.

Sounds like a good idea, I'll try that next time I run it, thanks!
