So, the new area Great River hosts a big Rohirric town named Stangard. This town is full of roleplay space we've spent a few years straight asking for, with every house coming with a furnished interior and no trash NPCs littering them.
Long story short, this is an amazing area for all those of us whose Rohirric characters have been twiddling thumbs in Bree. As a heads-up, as I'm sure not everyone knows about this new town, I encourage everyone with a character able to reach the area (level 75 mobs on the path but it's probably feasible for level 50-60s to ride through) to come enjoy the scenery and experience the immersive RP environment in anticipation for Rohan. It's awesome. Let's do this.
I'll be around as Milawyn, accompanied by her partner in misfortune Drevorin, and we greatly look forward to building stories with you!
Oh how I wish I could join you, break my bred with you. My guardian is only lvl 38. But one of these days he will be there, mark my words! Til then, til then.....
This does sound interesting - will see you all out there.

Bear in mind you'd also need to have access to Lothlorien to pass through, which you need to be level 55 minimum for.
Unfortunately I have no Rohirric character high enough to roleplay there. I only have a Bree-lander who is level 72. The other high level characters of mine are Elves. I wish I could join you folks.

Perhaps it would not be unfeasible for a small party of elves to travel to speak with the Rohirrym in an effort to prepare them for the storm that they know is coming? After all the lands do border onto Lothlorien, perhaps the Lady of the Golden Wood has asked Haldir to send some riders out to get the measure of the riders.
I certainly would enjoy such an adventure.

Nice idea, and might i add good find i was clueless about this new town and its good opurtunity for RP as of yet...
I'll find a way for my main character to be there RP wise...
He has been spending a lot of time in Dunland and Enedwaith for certain business, i'm sure i can think up something which could send him to that town...
can't wait to try out this new RP area... lets make something great out of it!!!
It'll be some time before my new Rohirrim main will be at level to get there, but I look forward to it! I love when RPs are given empty spaces to do creative things with.

Someone was asking me what happened to this project. I couldn't answer, so now I'm asking here: what happened to this idea?
I'd be interested to know myself; been hanging out in Stangard lately and haven't seen anything going on in, say, the tavern or the meadhall. I don't play a Rohirrim but I like their flavor of RP so any of you Horse-lords who spot me there, feel free to hit me up!
Stangard is amazing, but dead because of it simply isn't accessable. A majority of RPers aren't even 50 yet and with the way Lotro works F2P they probably never will be. Shame really, I'd liked it to have become the new Bree since it is much better designed with the watch towers, stables, prison and empty houses, but it just isn't possible in its current location.
I don't want Turbine to give up on the idea, but next time build it somewhere everyone can get to, in the mean time, lets cross our fingers and hope more people make it to Stangard.
the OP hasn't been online for a while, an explanation for the silence
I seriously considered to move to Stangard myself, but as I did the Stangard book quests and learned the whole idea behind it (a military outpost, populated by Rohirric outcasts and criminals, without women) I had second thoughts.
I plan to wait for the first proper civilian Rohirric settlement before even thinking of leaving Bree IC
As much as I hate hijacking a thread, I would like to inform all those interested in RP with Rohirrim and a march towards Stangard, that a Muster of Rohirrim is called. There will be a relevant post soon, or simply drop by Bree and meet with the Rohirrim who take down names (Aueryll, Creowyn, Eorland, Eorran). Yesterday we had quite a number of people showing interest.
