Re: Petition to the devs, in memory of the loss of a beloved player!!!!!

Most of you know I'm not a forums person, but the loss of a legend has brought me here to make some points to the devs.
Nidor played this game for as long as the game was out, The girl in WoW did the same. I know the GM's there made a special memorial for her, yet you can't find the time to give a slight memorial to a person who cared so much about this game. If any of you devs/gms had ever met Nidor this would have been brought to the top of the To Do list, seeing as how he was one of the nicest people I personally have ever met.
It just irritates me that you can find the time to give us the bird and a tree, but can't make one small memorial around Nidor Rock or rename an NPC to honor the loss of a legend. I really hope you reconsider your outlook on this post and how many people have actually came to sign and show they care.
I know that Turbine has a department designed just to watch forums. I hope you as the reader of this post would take this forum in itself to your boss and show us all that Turbine/Warner Brothers has a sense of compassion for it's players and that we aren't just feeding you with money for PvMP and End-game raiding.
Thank you all for your time. See you out and about.

Dear Orion and company,
Brandywine lost one of it's original founders in a fight against cancer. Nidor left Middle Earth for Valinor around noon today.
I would like to propose a game change for the Brandywine server if at all possible. I have three idea's and I think the Brandywine community would like to see one of them implemented to keep the spirit of Bruce Rosenberg, a.k.a. Nidor alive for some time to come.
Here are my ideas:
1. When a Creep/Freep enters the area known as "Nidor's Rock" have the game let you know you are in the area, just as it does when your Creep/Freep comes upon Lugazag, Tirith Raw, Lumber Camp..etc.
2. Rename the Weaver trainer in Grams to Nidor Anastasi(i think that's his weavers last name) in honor of him.
3. Create a simple quest called "Nidor's Challenge" and have Creeps have to deliver something to the spider den.
Personally, I'm voting on having "Nidor's Rock" named in honor of him.

/Signed. Renaming a weaver NPC is probably the easiest thing for the programmers to do. Any weaver NPC in Grams is ok with me.
Re: Petition to the devs, in memory of the loss of a beloved player!!!!!
Agreed on renaming an NPC. There is even precedent, I think. Another player on Brandywine passed away--Hammbert--and he returned as an NPC. I'm not sure if this was a Bullroarer-only NPC, but it's a start.
Work like no one is watching, dance like you don't need the money...
Re: Petition to the devs, in memory of the loss of a beloved player!!!!!
To GMS, Devs and LOTRO management. We have lost a beloved player to cancer in real life. His name was NIDOR and we would like to honor him with a memorial at a rock 18.1s 14.7 west. Call it Nidor's Rock and make it neutral to freeps and creeps. A sad day for the monster players. He was a creep. I am on the rock now with several hundred other players creeps and freeps alike. In memory of Nidor.

Reading his updates here on the forums about his battle and the positive attitude he brought to it was incredibly moving. He was a beloved player of this game and a gesture such as Nidor's Rock would be much appreciated by this awesome community. Make it happen!
Re: Petition to the devs, in memory of the loss of a beloved player!!!!!
Please take notice Turbine, players who have characters on others servers and who have characters on Brandywine were present, including myself. Nidor's rememberence goes beyond one server's population.

Very emotional evening. Thanks all for showing your support out there tonight at the memorial. I just wanted to add my support to this thread and to ask for some in game remembrance to a creep I respected as much as any out there.

This game isn't worth playing without the community in it. If Turbine has two brain cells to channel together, theyll do what it takes and get this done.

Your actions are so loud, I cannot hear what you are saying.
Re: Petition to the devs, in memory of the loss of a beloved player!!!!!
I wish I had known of this.
I wish more-so that I had known him better.
I never played spider on Brandywine, but even so, I knew of him.
During the life of this game, Nidor was one of the fellow original spiders that I tried to always listen to when our forum paths crossed. His knowledge of the class has helped me at times when I have had difficulty figuring out something. I have never seen or heard a poor word spoken about him, nor did I have anything but admiration for him.
Reading over this thread, I can see how much he was valued by the entire community. There are very few who can engender this sort of feeling in everyone they encounter. I find myself moved by the facts that he was one of the most respected spiders able to give myself and others sound advice, the outpouring of emotion for him from his fellow players, and the fact he fought, though lost, the battle with cancer, which my woman is going through herself at this time. All of these things are effecting me greatly, and I didn't even know him personally. I can only imagine how his family is dealing with this.
To his family: you may or may not think of this as "just a silly game" but please just know, that we, the real people who have crossed paths with Nidor in one way or the other over the years, respected him greatly, and will remember him always with a place in our hearts.
To Turbine: though I say /signed to "Nidor's Rock" I realize you likely cannot hope to memorialize in this manner all the players who have passed. Perhaps an alternative: A memorial plaque in game at some central location, where one could click on it and there listed would be the names of those who have passed from our ken to the shores of Valinor. (this may require contacting family to verify - to prevent fraudulent requests [and we all know there would be such] or only on request of family)
Anyway, whether or not it happens...
/salute Nidor
May you find rest after your long battles sir.
